Lake Trail | Mount Washington Nordic Centre
Join me on the Lake trail, a 9 km loop for advanced skiers at Mount Washington Nordic Centre. It took us approximately 2 hours to complete just the Lake Trail portion of the loop. I accessed this trail via Ponds Trail (10 minutes in 10 minutes out), to Lake Approach (10 minutes in 5 minutes out) for a total of a 2 hour 35 minute loop on skate skis.
My skiing ability: I’m an intermediate skier and tend to ski on the slower side. I don’t push myself too hard and take frequent breaks because of a chronic foot injury. I can’t skate ski uphill very well yet, so there was a lot of penguin walking!

Powell Forest Canoe Route Paddling Guide | 4-Day Journey Through Sunshine Coast Wilderness
Oh how I would love to snow shoe. I’m in Pennsylvania and most of our snow melted again. I bought snow shoes about 4 years ago at the end of the season but we still haven’t had enough snow to warrant using them 😞
In Strathcona Park we get some of the biggest dumps of snow in the world, but it's inconsistent. Last year there was so little snow the ski hill could barely run. I've been grateful for the extra snow this year!
Oh my goodness poor Gus. My Pomeranian Lily is also terrified of gun shots 😢. She also whines when I stop for a break to get moving like Gus 😂. Great footage of your hike! Love the falls so much ❤
Aw poor baby. My other dog Dolly is part Pomeranian. She doesn't look it, but when you see her by a Pom you can tell she's got the bounciness and the spunk!
Omg your drone shot! Excited for more
Thorough, accurate summary. As you pointed out, a couple of the portages are daunting (especially for the over 70 crowd!) Good footage and accompanying commentary.
Thank you! Although I've met some of the over 70 crowd in the Comox Valley and there are many that can outrun me 😆
Great Job. You hit everything a potential paddler would want to know.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Great work. Done it a couple times myself. Will likely go again.
Yes I think we will be coming back for many years to come, it's such a fun route!
Very nice!
thank you!
Heaven.
I would LOVE to do that adventure, not walk as far as you did, but I would love to be on the west coast of the Island during wild weather.
There are lots of short walks and great beaches for storm watching! The wind and waves can be pretty spectacular. Although I do miss the thunderstorms on the prairies (Gus, our dog, does not miss the thunderstorms!)
Enjoyed seeing some of our favourite places! Thanks!
Can you please point me toward a copy of the map that you showed in the video?

Beautiful!
Thank you!
good vids👍
Thank you!
Beautifully done!
Looks like a great hike! :)
Really well presented. I love your detail! So many other travel logs are full of unnecessary stuff. Keep it up!!
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm trying to create some guides that provide really detailed information with visuals. There are lots of vlogs out there but not many detailed guides!
Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks for the beautiful video. Heading up there next month.
Thank you! I hope you have a fantastic trip.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing! My wife and I just did the West Side of Bowron Lakes and are thinking about doing this circuit! One quick question. Whats your overall conclusion about the portage cart, would you bring it if you were to repeat the circuit? Thanks!
Hello! Thank you for your comment! We definitely would not bring the portage cart. It was only useable on the first portage. After that it was far more trouble than its worth. However, there are frequent canoe rests.
@@JulestheBell Thank you!!
Really enjoyed this!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
I’d like to see this on a t-shirt
