The Basta Floating Lift offers the same protection as a bottom-resting lift, but with several unique advantages. In open water situations, the Floating Lift eliminates strain on the bow eye when directly mooring it to a buoy. With only the lift directly attached to the mooring, the strain is on the lift, not the boat. Having your boat high above the water eliminates the potential for waves breaking over the bow and potentially sinking open bowed boats like ski/wake boats or center console fishing boats.
