    • @bustinout
      @bustinout 12 днів тому

      Yeah it’s a bit upsetting but it’s one of whites more affordable boots. And they stuck by their warranty so I think that speaks highly of them. You’re probably not going to go wrong with the nicks packers.

      @@bustinoutDon’t want to sound presumptuous, but do you think it’s possible you’re sizing these boots with too narrow a width? I know whites only goes to EE on their site at least, and I’m an F to FF. Part of the reason why I’m considering Nicks.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy 10 днів тому

      @@landocalrissian5180 Yes, their last on the Rose Anvil one I got is not narrow in the same way of a cowboy boot, but is cut to not really want to accommodate those pesky extra toes off to the side. Don't think I will split any seams at least, tho. The Nick's site doesn't do a great job showing the difference between the Ranger and the Packer, but I think if you want more Western-style toe shapes, the packer you have more selection.

      I wear a size D in all boots so I really don’t know. Whites will do custom boots though so you might call them and ask

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy 10 днів тому

      @@bustinout I'm supposed to be a D, too, but then every boot I get seems to narrow, but then if you go wide, it doesn't just go wide in the front for the toes, but also goes too wide in the heel where I don't have some giant heel and then the back and sides don't fit right. I don't know any company that will really compensate for that. When I talked to White's at the time, they just gave me the opportunity to send them back and no rush rebuild option or whatever, so I just kept them and figure I'll get them rebuilt by Nick's [or Frank's?] eventually since at least I know the Nick's last is less angular and fits pretty well overall even if still narrow. White's they tend to have that giant space of outsole where there could be more toe room where the leather could overhang a bit more. It always wants to get caught on the pedal when driving, too, which is scary if must brake quickly or whatever but at least not usually going TOO fast on winding canyon road and such but still kind of nuisance.

    If the shield says "Germany" then the components were likely made in China and then the knife was assembled in Germany. If the shield or the blades are stamped "Solingen", then the entire knife and all components were made and assembled in Solingen, Germany.
