Introducing: Errata
Errata takes digital destruction to new levels. Combining a unique signal disruption algorithm with rounding error signal quantization, Errata provides a pathway to detailed textures difficult to achieve with more traditional methods. Add five severe bit-shifting algorithms alongside bit reduction, sample rate control, and overdrive, and Errata is designed to be your go-to digital distortion unit.

Further harness unruly results with multimode filtration and stereo width, then use the blend amount to dial back extremes - with optional output limiting to keep things in check. Optimized for Push with full Info View annotations, it’s easy to learn and use - just be sure to test the bit-shifting algorithms with caution as they can get rather loud. Drop it on any track, experiment, have fun - and reference the Info View as needed.

Had to leave halfway througn but what i saw was great thanks Noah, going to watch the rest later. Hope it becomes a regular slot
Nice one!
great session! thanks!
Hello! Great stuff! Unfortunatelly my computer can't access, since detects a risky website... is there any other way to access to this tools?
Hi - what do you mean it's a risky website? Please contact us via this form so we can resolve your issue: forms.gle/9f1vStGSPYtQic7z5 (just enter X for any irrelevant fields). Please also be sure to tell us which browser you are using, as we are unable to produce this warning in Chrome, Safari, or Brave.
Also, just to confirm, this is the link producing warnings for you? manifest.audio/sonification-tools - because it looks fine over here...
damn I bought one (MFA metarhythm), just bought another and now Metaflux looks cool. Man you guys are cookin and its great to see what ableton is becoming
I'll see you there!
McSuede!! 🙌
very nice !
Sick!
Oh sick I like the look of the interface on this version!
great tool!
🙌
@@manifestaudio I really like the direction your project is going! Wishing you every success!
@@marcinwiraszka4037 🥰
It's not on the website?
Pretty sure it's right here: manifest.audio/converser 😅 - but if it's not showing up there for you, that would be quite odd... let us know!
@@manifestaudio it's there now , wasn't earlier unless you followed the link
@@Kevhuman Ahh I get it now - yeah, takes a few minutes to update the front page after the product page goes live... but dang - y'all are quick!! 🙌
Cool, bit like x-ponder ! Will this be part of any bundle in the near future?
Might be a little while before we have enough new MIDI Tools to warrant a fresh bundle - but as a Toolset 001 owner, you should now have a special discount code in your inbox! 🙌
@@manifestaudio oh that's brilliant
Thank you so much man, it is exactly what I was looking for!
Would be dope if you could somehow add groove onto these clips
We might add this functionality directly into X-Looper at some point later on - but for now you can simply add our free Cheat Code device after X-Looper to apply any swing timing you want to your MIDI loops: manifest.audio/cheat-code 😎
Thanks Noah great tutorial
This looks great. Is the latency low enough for live performance as I’m looking for a real-time audio to midi drum trigger?
It's fairly low-latency, and with some track delay compensation can get pretty instantaneous... probably worth a try! ;)
@@manifestaudio Cheers for getting back. Is there a trial version?
@@Oscillator99 Max for Live does not allow for trial periods, so unfortunately, trial or demo versions are not possible - however it's currently on sale for 30% off until September 1, 2024 with the discount code: HOMEWORK24
@@Oscillator99 Sadly, Max for Live doesn't allow for any sort of trial or demo functionality - but it's on sale until the end of August, 30% off with the promo code: HOMEWORK24
Thx for the video. Question & feature suggestion: Tranform too which aloows to tie adjacent notes of same pitch together making its duration longer. Maybe with some randowm weight which steers how much in percent is actually ties. Is that feasible?
Live 12.1's new note selection option makes this fairly easy: 1. select desired notes by pitch class, then 2. apply our Tether note tie randomizer :)
@@manifestaudio thx, sure but this takes too long, for any reasonable amount of pitch classess - I am hoping for a transformer.
@@CliffScherer I don't understand: even in the Transformation you describe, you would still have to define your pitch class (select a specific note or range of notes) - so I don't think it would necessarily take longer; also, any MIDI Transformation can already be applied to a specific note selection, which could be pitch-based, simply by selecting those notes with your mouse - to select all notes on a certain key, you can also just click the key on the note ruler and then apply the Tether or other Transformation only to those selected notes. Apologies if I've misunderstood what you're looking for - but if not, I think most of the functionality you want already exists.
very well thought out and creative devices. fun stuff.
❤❤❤❤
bought right away! amazing work, guys! keep it up :D
Is Global Hub now completely useless with live 12 ?
Fair question. But no, not at all! While it's no longer *necessary* to keep our devices in the scale and key of your set, it allows you to control for non-Ableton scales, randomize the scale, key, time signature, BPM, and swing of your project, randomize Manifest Audio device settings, and also control swing, transposition, and octave of all Manifest Audio devices in your project. So while the need it was developed for is no longer quite so pressing as of Live 12, Global Hub is far from useless! ☺
This is sounding random music, whatever "control tools" feed the randomness. I don't say it's bad, I only say you can't hide the randomness of the results.
Sure, the purpose of this demo is to show some of the chaotic potential of this device. Naturally, it is entirely possible to use Pattern Engine without any randomization at all if you want. However, the entire point of this powerful sequencer is the enormously high degree of control it provides over its extensive randomization features, harnessing random algorithms deliberately and with purpose to generate compelling new musical ideas that would otherwise be difficult to access.
@@manifestaudio That's a convincing explanation :) Thanks!
Can this be used on a Push 3 standalone?
To the best of our knowledge, Push 3 does not support MIDI Tools yet - but hopefully will soon!
Cool stuff as always! The "visualizing notes idea" is amazing. Helps understand more about the other devices.
Headrush abandoned it's Looperboard users who helped them through beta testing arrive at a usable product. Unfortunately, use of sub standard switches and electronic components forced Headrush to make the decision to redesign their flagship Looper to function properly on a hardware level. Their actual software is almost identical in features to it's predecessor, demonstrating that they knew their unit had design flaws. Buyer beware. Headrush is a terrible company who doesn't care about their products or clientele.
💪💥🗯🔥💭❤💨🕊 nailed .... stable ...... p.s.great for Performance setups too..
Looking forward to a more in depth tutorial/walkthrough.
That’s fucking tight!
Nice device . I wonder if you notice but the scale seem always reset in default after saving and reload the project . Any chance it will fixed ? Ot do you more robust solution in your (another) commercial products
Hi there! As detailed in the Scale & Key section of our FAQ, you can save the scale and key of our devices with your Set either by 1) using it with an instance Global Hub (included with Utility Boost and all paid devices) to keep all our devices in the same scale and key, or simply 2) click the Globe icon on Cheat Code (or any of our devices) to local Pin mode to store the scale and key with the device and save it with your set. You can read more on our FAQ here: manifest.audio/faq - and learn more about Global Hub in this video: ua-cam.com/video/41xII9jd4Ac/v-deo.html
Hi! It looks great. It works on push 3 standalone?
As a matter of fact it does work on Push 3 standalone - as do all our Max for Live devices! :)
Great stuff. Perhaps an idea to add a option to directly drag the exported file to the simpler. This bypasses the save to disk, import to project action.
This is another awesome one (trio) of yours - Lots of the toolsets you developed over time for your previous M4L devices are present here from the beginning. This is well thought out and an endless source of inspiration and musical creation.
LOVE this thing, don’t be surprised if I comment more than once when it wows me ;)
Perhaps Noah could make new tutorials to compliment the 1.6 updates ❤
😉
Ive been using pulse engine to do ratcheting sounds, is it in pattern engine now ?
Not yet - but Pulse Engine is great for that!
@@manifestaudio it really is, love it !
Guys, this is great stuff, instant purchase
Wonderful, this channel is criminally underviewed, at least for now…
Just purchased this and the audio effects bundle. Picked up all the free stuff too. Very clever and useful devices. The whole ecosystem is an inspiration machine !
Love to hear this, thank you!! 🙏
This is really useful
can this be used on the same channel to send back midi data to the original device?
Yes, absolutely. 100%. In fact, doing exactly this is the default behavior.
I will create a masterpiece
Does the sidechaining work as well as sidechain compression? Is there a way to do something similar to threshold in order to increase/decrease its intensity?
No - both Gate and Side modes are based on pure Note On or Note Off functionality; making it velocity-sensitive would be tricky as it's always delayed by one note message... but it's an interesting idea!
This looks fantastic, definitely picking it up.
Cool. :)
Great stuff! 🙂
Cool stuff!
Looks really cool. A bit pricey though... Great work on the UI and performativity.
Hello, is there any chance you upgrade this to be trainable, like Dubler? :) Especially for drum mode, training is essential to get the desired results. So certain beatbox sounds will result in specific midi notes, like c1, d1 etc. (Freely chooseable to trigger Kick, Snare, Hihat, ride midi notes) Your plugin looks really good for anything with monophonic melodies, but without it recognizing at least my Beatboxing Kick, Snare, Hihat sounds, it's impossible to use for triggering drumracks in a live performance. EDIT: Maybe it isnt even necessary to include a train function, at least for the most basic drumsounds Kick, Snare, Hihat. Because as the Ableton internal solution shows, it's possible to automatically translate the 3 basic drum sounds. Quote "One impressive part of converting audio to midi in Ableton is that you don’t have to train the software. The algorithm will automatically detect low impact sounds as a kick, snappy “t” sounds as a snare, and hissy “s” sounds as a hi hat. " i envision having the same thing for live performance
Hi there! Adding a training function would require a completely different architecture and ultimately, a different device, rebuilt from the ground up - which is not currently on our road map. However, we're always excited to find creative solutions to user scenarios. So a possible solution to your beatboxing request could be to stack multiple instances of X-Translate in an Audio Effect Rack, then dial individual input frequency ranges and threshold settings to each instance of X-Translate to respond appropriately to your different beatboxing sounds - with each of course set to output your desired corresponding MIDI note. Results may vary, but in theory this should work! 😊
Thank you for the tutorials. Great Bundle !!!!!
amazing, thanks so much for making this
Yesterday after the 343 Labs session bought the Ultra bundle, fantastic devices! In the end I think I can figure out how it all works, but the thing that just keeps puzzling me is the dice logo 😀🤔
Hi! So glad you're enjoying our devices. 😊 Wherever you see the Dice icon, you can click it to randomize a parameter (or in some cases, a set of parameters). On Global Hub specifically, it allows you to randomize any unlocked parameters; by default, this is the scale and key, allowing you to easily experiment with a new musical starting point - but you could unlock BPM or even time signature as well if you want to try a completely new feel for your project. And remember: whenever you're in doubt, just open Live's Info View (via the reveal toggle in the lower left corner of Live's interface) and hover your mouse over any Manifest Audio parameter or icon for an explanation of what it does, built right into Live! 💫
@@manifestaudio Hi, yeah just finished the Learn video's, so much information and inspiration. The comment about the dice was actually a joke. The numbers on the opposite sides of a die add up to 7. In the logo of the bottom die of the Global Hub, 6 and 1 are visible next to each other. Vegas randomness perhaps 😀
@@kozepz Hahaha, okay nice - even better as a joke! We hadn't noticed the incorrect Dice image - but now that you mention it... maybe it has to do with how unreal the devices are??!? 😉
