i literally just started my locs a couple weeks ago and i cannot wait until they enter maturity (hopefully in the next 18 months) so i can't ditch my expensive loc'tician for good.

Try putting them in two strand twists or braids for some days and then you take them down and lets see.

It’s your method of curling that went wrong. I use less locs per flexi-rod. And I apply them from the top and wrap the loc down in a spiraly motion and apply a rubber band securing it at the bottom. The flexi-rod stays straight. I usually only use 3-4 locs per rod. It looks funny but it’s just until it dries.
