Deluxe Reverb Reissue with D'Angelico IMG 0009
You are probably giving us good info. Problem is we cant hear it. Could you fix this?
I thought this was going to be a bad DIY job, but it's actually very respectable work, congrats!
You did nothing
Show parts In kit layed out In order of assembly. Remove bearing carrier, remove old seal. Install new seal and bearing into carrier. Offer carrier to axle, slide on after installing gaskets and o rings. Prior to starting job, drain axle housing, then no more annoying drips during job.
great video to help us old ( 94 yrs ) guys. ThanX❤
gg.. whats with the music. cant hear you talking
Too slow, speak up!!!
That looks amazing! Tutorial video? How you get that “baked in” look so good?
Stew Mac Vintage Amber. Thanks!
Any ideas if the spacer is stuck onto the axle?
Try to expand it with a torch. Or get some sort of puller at autozone.
Music pointless. Shame.
Can’t hear you very good over the Music…!
yup that is how you do it. little bit of a PIA but not too bad. there is a direction for that fan vent. I dont remember which way it is suppose to face I think its down. That backing plate is in 2 pieces and the vent has a direction.....I just dont remember which way you need to put it. But I think it is down.
I’ve learned a lot from your channel. One thing has stuck with me is that if I obsess about making the car way too nice I’d never drive it or enjoy it. Lol. But very true
Very informative video. The music is too loud though. Can please you repost with the music lower?🙏🏽
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I can edit it
Tenho um Fusca 1964/1200cc que estou reformando aos poucos. Espero que consiga deixá-lo em condições de trafegar. Vou dar-lhe uma nova chance. É meu tesouro! Abraços do Brasil 🇧🇷
Suerte, poco a poco. Vale la pena restaurarlos. Ya no los fabrican :)
Cool ride! Thanks for sharing. I noticed that you have the heater tubes installed from the fan shroud, but you're running J-Tubes. So ... Where does the fresh air get pumped to? Extra air for cooling?
Hey, thanks for the compliments. Those paper tubes are a prop lol. I’m swapping the alternator and hopefully will get that video up soon. There you’ll see those are not connected to anything. Just snobbery
I would like to see it before you began , your friends give you good advice not to let it get jaded with trinkets, engine is clean & proper dual port sorry performance is not equal , good job
Good idea, I’ll link a short video showing pictures of the before and some in between as it was going to paint. Thanks for your comments! I’ll see how I’ll link it to this video.

Good to hear your experience with your bug. They are reliable daily drivers as is, but it is good to learn of modern sympathetic upgrades and techniques you've made to keep your car more usable in the 21st century. Concur with your experience with pattern parts. Buy cheap, buy twice seems to be the adage.
Thanks, I agree. Solid little cars. Thanks for watching
Great looking bug you got there! Enjoy it in good health and spirits ☺️. Regards from Pakistan.
Thanks for the good wishes!
Nice bug. And I’ve mine. As do others.
Thanks! Appreciate that
Right on on keeping the axle on the horizontal; just put a jack under the shock absorber mount and lift it. It should minimize the gear oil hemorrhage, which is pretty annoying while trying to do this. Very strange that the wheel bearing came out; have never seen this. Also, the bearing covers changed throughout the years; some use the oil slinger washer and some don’t.
Fantástica!
Vaya Titarra!
