I dont understand why the nicer custom 1911 makers dont make the slide lever more forgiving or easier to manipulate to avoid the "idiot" scratches. I feel like an idiot spending 1500+ on a pistol that is meant to be used and therefore cleaned regularly, but I have to endure potential scratch marks?

Groups don't matter until you find the 2 best nodes then confirm the node with groups. Math doesn't lie, With Groups Human error & luck screw people's load development up. Next outing the groups are the opposite because they went with the best group with worse number's instead of the math.
meded moon Yeah. Too bad. I guess their rationale is that their other models have caught the Valor in quality. This from a DW guy over on one of the forums I frequent. I disagree completely. Discontinuing the Valor is a bad move. I’m actually in the market for a new handgun. I think I’ll get another Valor before they become scarce.
meded moon SOME of the models, not all. Wasn’t real specific on which models were being considered Valor-esque. I was always under the impression that the Valor was their main bread and butter. I guess I was wrong.

meded moon It is a production gun in that the slide and frame are CNC machined. The parts are then hand fitted. Production AND hand fit.
