Those has to be summer tiers. I have 2004 RAV4 with 2.0 litre engine and here in Finland it goes even there is snow more than car has ground clearance.

RAV4's are full time awd and will pretty much go anywhere with M+S tyres and also make a very good car. What you call a proper off roader is great but not much use the rest of the time

Got to love these little 4wd's. I have taken my '97 w/LSD in crap like this as well as my 2004 RAV. Both do very well in deep snow and icy conditions. One of the last full time 4wd models out there. Newer models are all on demand AWD while good, I would not try any deeper stuff like this with them.

Rav4's (4.1 and 4.2) are some pretty decent off roaders. I have seen both on some serious trails, always amazed me that these soft roader are so capable. Good music btw.

The Hell Song - Sum 41

Actually the ground clearance is the biggest downfall. My Rav4 goes great. Mastercraft HSX tires are excellent as well. They do so well on my 07 Rav4 that my mother n law put the same tire on her 07 4Runner. We got a nice snow with some ice just this past weekend and we both went with no problems :)

Does that have 4x4 and traction control? Also what are the tires? I've bbeen through much bigger snow with no problem with 4x25 cm wide tires 4x4 and traction 2.0 d4d engine :)
