I wonder why they can't use a brushless motor for the fuel pump? It would stop all the black carbon dust circulating. I suppose cars get away with it because the tank capacity is so much bigger. Does the carbon dust actually affect the flow rate, or are we just replacing filters before they are blocked, just because they look disgusting? Its an expensive quandry😮😂
Great question on the brushless pump, i dont have much experience with brushless motors. I do replace the filters every 80hrs. We need these motors running crisp at the places we ride.

Thank you for the video! I'm getting ready to dive into mine as it has started cutting out intermittently. Hopefully just needs a clean, but i may also replace rhe items you recommend. I'll let you know how i go 🤘

So did this fix your always on PSP? i have same issue and a replacment is hard to get or super expensive... Never mind i read all the replys. seems in Australia cant get the ones you have on the video (FYI its very hard to read on a laptop and the colour you picked) but i can get the IRF3205 110A/55V ones. so will give that a try. beingg its 1 year on from video post, has there been any issues with not using the exact same diode?

My 21 se harnas is heeltemal verander. Die swak punte is uitgehaal. Ja die drade is af binne die isolasie. Mens sien dit nie tot als afgehaal word. Daar is nog n plek in airbox onder ecu waar drade afskaaf. Hul gaan na die relays toe. Asook soms die main 20A fuse by starter solenoid kry water en kan dit ook veroorsaak.

That dyno is way off! Can only compare numbers to bikes that were on there the same day.

Hi, thanks for the video! My mini cooper s r53 pump would not shutdown even if i turn off ignition and remove key. It only stops when battery is removed! Any suggestions on what could be wrong? Also what fluid are u using to clean up, and what soldier should I use to re-attach?!
Good day. Was the same with this pump. And when replacing those resistorsnit worked fine again. On this PCB i just used a normal soldering iron and flux nothing special.
Exact problem. There was zero power to ignition, fuel pump etc. One small wire was broken. Fixed! Thank you.

No ground. It's an inline switch breaking the power supply only.

I drowned my 18’ ktm 250 tpi, completely under water (fell off a bridge) Tipped the bike and got the water out the pipe, and then took the spark plug out and drained all water in top end, put a new plug in and the bike started and went for another 8kms before bogging and dying on a steep tech uphill. The bike still has all the compression. It doesn’t want to start, eventually when it does it idles for a few seconds before bogging out again. Could it be this? Or is it more major- injectors, stator etc. that got wet? It’s going in to be fixed, but just wandering what could have possibly happened.
I would check everything from fuel pump to ccps if it was submerged even the relays under the seat. Disconnect all plugs clean them and assemble. Also you can hang the injectours out and crank the motor see how they spray.
What is the diode number?
Hasn't replied and said he'll put it in the description. Guess not.
@@spyder5571 its on the screen the number for the transistors. Only parts i replaced so was the only codes i took note of

How did you determine this was the problem? I'm having the same problem but very intermittently I'm also getting a check engine light and fuel light.
I had no CEL. But with fault finding i came to that spot. Tracing where you have V and where its missing then tracing in between. Altleast i see on my 22 the wiring issues have been attended to. There is another mod I've done to my TPI to make the topend last longer. Video will be up soon.

Hi there. Thanks!! I have done extensive research and could find mo other issue for pump staying on with ignition off than the pump itself. So this will solve your issue for sure. If not, its so cheap to repear its worth a shot. Let me know if you fixed it.

Any idea if that cleaning will help for pump to be quieter ? Mine is loud at all times but work as intended. Well sometimes when worm it steering is bit harder but my main concern is noise
Not sure if it will, if the noise comes from the hydraulic pump side it wont help. It its on the electric motor side then it will definitely help.
Mine has the same problem, still on. Did you change the transistor or just clean all electric parts? And if you just clean it it works after? Thanks.
I first cleaned it to do a test, but was still the same. Then i changed the 2 transistors only and its fixed now! So happy as a new one is really expensive.

I've fitted a full yoshi r53 system check the other dyno vids have that installed. Sounds fantastic!! Would've live a brocks though.
@@killshotzx14r47.....the alienhead will shit all on that yosh for real man. I know they ain't cheap but you will get a top notch system that a lot of time went into to develop. I'm not associated with him by any means. I just like seeing zx14 and 14r setup to be killers

@@killshotzx14r47 i have brocks alien head 2 with pc5 with aggressive street map and sprint race filter. his numbers put that arrangement at about 216 hp. THis is straight from brocks performance. at highway speed with a sprint race filter it gaines another 5 to 8 according to them. Their numbers not mine.
0 chance the dyno is dialed in correctly. plus running with 2 brothers slip on exhaust assures that the bike is not getting the hp it could have.

Nice video! My bmw has the same style bundle of the end of the wires connected with one crimp connection. That was in the interior of the car behind the dashboard and it still wasn’t that strong anymore after moving it and disturbing it when i did some wiring to the car. So basically i did the same thing as you to fix the issue. How this is considered waterproof outdoors on a dirt bike or motorcycle is beyond me.. Just cheaper and easier to assemble a wiring harness like that and then on top of that not use heat shrink style waterproof connrctions and either good ones or just have a machine solder them all together like the OP explained. Its not that hard to do at the factory..

Hey mate, my bike bogged and just stopped. I still have fuel & spark.. Do you think it could be the case? Before I start hacking my wiring.
Either that or feul filters. Also in rare ocasions where no maintenance happens you will find the piston as culprit. Just test the compression also.
What gear were you in for the pull?
There's a better video of my 14r on the dyno with the dash view and numbers.
Those Austrians are pretty fine engineers, but they have always been horrible with the wiring.
