This makes me want to go back and study just to be involved
Oh wow - this is incredible!
Amazing 🤩
Appreciate your works, new ideas for our future generations. Thank you very very much. 🙏👍⭐✨🌟❤️🎉🥰
Its concerning that for every interview with a 'resident' of this place, whether ths one or the Julie Bishop post last semester, it's always a members of the leadership acting as real residents, those who are being paid to live there and never a genuine student with genuine opinions. This place had so much potential and yet the YKB administration ignored community feedback, held no responsibility, consistently tried to blame others and didn't appreciate any of those who tried to make the community. It really needs to be a case study in management classes here regarding what NOT to do. Unsurprising nobody wants to live here with all the reviews online and posts on reddit etc. If you want honest opinions, ask anyone you meet during Oweek who lives there, and they will all say the same thing, they didn't choose to live there and are hoping to leave asap. Honestly could have been a great residence if the leadership's arrogance wasn't so strong. RIP YKB 2023-2023. Edit: Dexus REIT now own the buildings, after AMP sold it, and even in their 'Dexus Core Infrastructure Fund' (March 2024) they note how vacant YKB is. They note that they are trying to come up with solutions to increase the enrolment here, but no matter how great the videos or pictures look of the Village, nor how much the referral bribes are to get people here, the management and leadership team employed by ANU, who really dont care about you as a student only a revenue source, will always be a poison to this place.
