P.E. Bach - Solfeggietto in C minor
This piece confuses a lot of people, for good reason. This was written by Phillip Emmanuel Bach, not the well known Johan Sebastian Bach.
In fact, P.E. Bach is actually a son of J.S. Bach!
This was technically taken out of "Playing Pieces Fast", but I thought it was worth making a video out of, especially since I haven't uploaded in months.

I actually learned this at 12 years old, but I recorded this video at 14. I started playing at late 9 years old. I love this piece, and it was a true adventure to learn. The video makes me look incredibly pale, wow. Thank you so much for watching. #piano #difficult #flightofthebumblebee #challenge

I love this piece because it's so simple and effective. Its also similar to a certain paganini piece. Lots to learn from.
A little unclear when multiple notes comes. Maybe play a little slower.

I also started 2020, actually on New Year’s Day of 2020 is when I properly started. I used to practice about 2 hours a day, but I had a few days where I did actually practice 8-10 hours a day. That only happened a couple weeks though. Thanks for the support!

Which level am I. I play the whole 3rd moment bethoven moonlight sonata and have played piano for 6 years
This video doesn't determine the level of the player, but rather the difficulty of different passages ranked into 12 levels. It's also very different being able to play and being able to play well.
I wonder where is alkan or mereaux 's pieces.. I think it will be like level 100 Or maybe liszt's harder pieces like transcendental etudes or reminisces, spanish fantasy, etc
To be honest, the code of mereaux's etude op63 no45 breaks the list. Transcendental etudes would (following the idea of this video only judging sections of pieces) probably only be around 15 if we followed the same arbitrary increment. Since they are very difficult, but not by that much then it comes to individual parts. Allan has very hard pieces, but I would still see them around the 14-15 mark.

Thanks for the sub! I have a camera on a stand that’s originally meant for lights, but I had two so I only used one light and put the camera about 1.5 meters high on the other stand.

Because Rush E is harder, since it was literally made to be impossible to play. Also La Campanella is not the hardest piece ever to be written, despite what google says.
Well if yo know anything about piano music, you know la Campanella isn’t that hard. Listen to hammerklavier, Liszt sonata, almost any piano concerto and there is way more stuff that’s way harder.
@@kolyakleinblatt1253 To be fair that doesn’t mean La Campanella is not hard. I’m not denying that it’s by far not the hardest but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Also pretty much the majority of Mereaux etudes are harder than La Campanella. 😂

@@kolyakleinblatt1253 Yeah that’s true. It’s WAY overrated. I don’t think Rousseau helped the situation, also google says it’s the hardest piece (or at least it did). It’s nowhere near the difficulty of a lot of pieces out there.

Winter wind is very muscle memory based but not as technically intense as some of the things on the list.

My last German Shepherd was a female we named her Mazeppa. Died last year at 11. So, bought a new dog, a male German Shepherd...I really wanted to name it after another Liszt piece, and indeed considered Friska. Too feminine for a male dog, so went slummin' with Ravel, lol, and went with Scarbo. Hey--that would be a 12 too!
