I agree with reviewer Alice Liddell that this film, directed by 'women's director' George Cukor (I felt this was his work, even before I saw the credits) slyly points up the limitations of women's experience. The lead character, Anna (Crawford) is a potentially beautiful woman but for one thing: as a child, she was horribly disfigured by a burn scar which she received at the hands of her brutal...

A Woman's Face (1941) A female blackmailer with a disfiguring facial scar meets a plastic surgeon who offers her the possibility of looking like a normal woman. Director: George Cukor This film may surpass even Joan Crawford's Oscar-winning performance in `Mildred Pierce' as the best of her career. `A Woman's Face' is part courtroom drama, part mystery, and unfolds in the form of flashbacks thr...

Love the characters, who were great, but the actors in the first movie just were too great. Angie great, but Princess Grace Kelly the best. Bob Cummins terrific, but his counterpart in the earlier movie tops, sorry Bob. And the detective was tops with his English demeanor. Both movies great.
There were two absolutely beautiful blond English women from the 60s (Shirley Eaton and Alexandra Bastedo) neither of whom were much interested in the pursuit of fame. Eaton said being a mother was much more important and she left acting in 1969 at the age of 31 to raise her boys.
👁️👁️ 🐽 👅
A vat of acid? Are you losing your mind? How is this inventive?
Believe it or not Bogie was still in his dues paying days having to settle for third or fourth billed supporting parts. His big break came in 1941 with "High Sierra". I think it was a no brainer that he would graduate to starring roles as time went on. He had one of the best mean looks as shown here.
Junk TV Movie
bond JAMES BOND Dan Castellaneta&Maggie Elizabeth Jones
love JC
Bond effortlessly overpowers the girls in the pool in a way that seems they ran out of ideas and wanted to end the scene quickly. Also Bond's comrades then turn up right on cue
Who’s that young fellow and partner of Q?
I couldn't believe my eyes when this film showed on my feed. First time I watch it. Hope I get the thing with the keys this time :)
Who could tell me when this exact passage occurs in the original movie ?? please ! (from x minutes to x minutes)
A most Outstanding presentation of this Excellent Classic Movie. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this Great movie. May I highlight from my perspective, this movie is Equally as Superb as the original presentation of Alfred Hitchcock's "Dial M for Murder" with Grace Kelly & Ray Miland. Thank You for sharing this really appreciated movie, as I am genuinely, grateful.
One of JC's best. And no real glamour, apart from the Film Noir that sculptured face was born for. When she had the good material and director she was a GREAT actress.
The kill scene was laughable. From the front of him, there’s no way she could have positioned the scissors in the middle of his back, and at a right angle to it. Nor would she have had enough strength to force it through the layers of fabric. Nevertheless, it’s still a very enjoyable movie. 😊
This reminds me of the character Carl Andersen toying with Drummond in a game of Chess and Petersen ended up checkmated by his own design.
THE greatest bond James Bond of them all
YeeAh, it's actually from 1974. The movie is 50 years old this year. Just thought you'd like to know.
The duel of duels best soundtrack as well.
a lot of noise for a fight in a vacuum..
Their screams were horrifying I didn't think you would hear their cries with being in the vacuum of space.
The West is decadent and divided. The first part is changing.
I never realized it until recently, but that music cue at the very beginning, it sounded an awful lot like Disney's The Black Hole, and I come to find it was composed by the same guy - John Barry, it has that same tone. He must've been working on the both of these around the same time.
The space battle scene 🎬 is very horrifying… fighting with high powered laser weapons in the vacuum of space… one word … brutal!
It has always horrified me watching it and men spinning off into space with air hissing out of their suits I was watching it with my wife and my mother my wife asked me the obvious question if I would of been screaming like the astronauts spinning into the void my mothers face was a picture with the answer I gave.
Take Modern.
I enjoyed the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock version of "Dial M for Murder" with the beautiful and elegant Grace Kelly and Ray Milland. Great Classic!
"Women write letters to me. Many letters since A Woman's Face. I read them all, by the way, the letters they call 'fan letters.' They write to me that they like to see me as the lover. This is surprising, perhaps because when I look into a mirror I do not see there a reflection of the young Romeo. But I like to believe they sense the inward thing. For when I say I am the very great lover of all women, I mean precisely that....All the so called weaknesses in women about which men either complain or make fun, are not there for me. For they have their excuses and are charming. I am a very great lover of all women. Like a lover, I am blind to their faults."--Conrad Veidt, Silver Screen Magazine, 1941 ;D
Hitchcock made a remaster of this same movie in 1954.
Excellent 👌 film thank you
A very ingenious variation of murder swap.

Nice movie but the flop side is the police investigation didn't clearly tell how they found the evidences.
Oh yeah Lil jon: YEAAAHH!!😂😂

Dr. No is a bit dated in places, and suffers from budget constraints in others - but I like the fact that it is very faithful to source material(unlike later Bond films) and also has a very dark edge to it(something not really seen again until sort of License to Kill).
I love what I call the old movies!!!!!ty
Thumper 's body is absolute fire 🔥and the belly chain she's wearing took me over the top.
Her belly is a bit flabby
Kid, never carry cash. Always carry the American Express card. Don't leave home without it.
1:27 Out of context, that looks menacing
Of course it is a perfect murder and a perfect set up and the husband in no way would have gone searching for a key. But it is fiction and he has to be caught.
1981? England never had the death penalty! I know it says 1963 but clothing and set pieces are not from that era! Woops!

OMG So This Is Before When JFK Get Assassinated Back Then
Watch this movie.....Immediately! Don't read any comments! (If u can, watch the original with grace Kelly....but this is a solid balls to the wall Classic!)
На каждого мудреца довольно простоты, good movie, thanks
How did the Monster find Elizabeth on her wedding day? In the book it’s clear, but here, Karloff’s Monster is a barely-functioning, brain-damaged infant, who for all intents and purposes is quite nice when he is treated nicely.
Excellent!
I remember the beautiful Red dress and the lovely negligee worn by Grace Kelly in the original she looked stunning although this was a good remake makes me want to see the original again
One of The few remakes I've liked very well done by everyone
British chicks don't usually turn me on, but Shirley Eaton was an absolute knockout in her prime.
