This is the most beautiful choral/instrumental version I’ve ever heard of this song, seriously. I can feel the full range of sincere joy and sorrow in every one of the singer’s and instrumentalist’s commitment performing the song during COVID. Thank you for making this!!! I’ve listened to it dozens of times within the last week and it’s sounds and FEELS just AMAZING for the spirit, especially almost as if being there in person when listening on my Sonos home theatre system. We remain impressed with Saint Olaf after spending Mother's Day Mass there in 2019. We instantly loved the place deeply and felt included, even though we were just passing through. We felt we could also participate in the praise through song. Some music directors treat Sunday Mass like their big performance instead of allowing the spirit of God use them in service. Not this one. He operates with a true selfless desire to give all praise and glory to the Lord. The celebration of the Holy Mass, and choir gifts are a deep comfort to us during this time. The spirit of God comes through the music and touches us where it really hurts right now. We love you and thank you.

How are melodies played on the Saint Olaf tower bells?
The bells are controlled by a computer system, and there are a number of pre-programmed melodies and bell peals that can be scheduled in advance. The bells are struck instead of swung, so that gives the ability to play melodies fairly reliably!
