Amen and Amen! The Old Testament saints were saved exactly the same way we are - by God's grace in the imputed righteousness of The Lord Jesus Christ. They believed God's promised Messiah. As children of God they were given faith to see, believe and rest in The Lord their Righteousness to come. We look back, they looked forward by God given faith. One Way of salvation - The Lord Jesus Christ ❤️🙏✝️ Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Galatians 3:7-9 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. John 8:56-58 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Believing it refers to their self righteous and progressive sanctification in "becoming holier". I love what Paul wrote "Oh wretched man that I AM" not was. Looking to Christ alone. Amen 🙏❤️✝️ This world is wicked. Life is short. These bodies fail and die. Friends and family come and go. We will have trials, tribulations, sorrows and fears. But.... Praise God He never changes! His promises are guaranteed in Christ. Great is HIS Faithfulness. We rejoice in our God and Saviour. We rejoice in His grace, mercy and love towards us in salvation, fully accomplished, free and full, in, by and through The Lord Jesus Christ.
