Awesome video great job done!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I found my machine on the side of road I keep passing by it on the same street as mines It took several drive by”s I should say my sons would not help me I convince myself after a couple days to go get it, I felt some way about the wood casing is solid wood and i didn’t want the rain to come and damage it, It’s in my home in son room kenmore same as the one in video I just got on it to fix my bag the Bobbin is causing me the blues I followed ur video to the end. Need help in this bobbin

Thank you SO much. I am SO grateful that you did this video. I needed a refresher. I bought this sewing machine to replace my broken(old&well used) machine back in 2003. I only used it a hand full of times. I haven’t sewed with a machine since 2004 when I got pregnant with my Twins-I’m a Mom of 4, so needless to say I was busy and too tired to do any sewing projects. This whole time I just hand sewed anything that needed mending. My kids are adults now and as I went to show my daughters how to use this machine-I realized my brother returned it without the manual when he borrowed it!

The camera moved to much to learn anything, you might think about getting a new camera person and re shoot this for your granddaughter

I just got this exact model sewing machine, but it doesn’t have a bobbin case. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement?

I’m stuck on my bobbin thread catching the top one. I was hoping this video would shed some light. The only thing I could see is that you put the thread going from left to right. I guess I’ll try that.

Why would you say you always want the same thread on the top and bottom ???? We always have the option of a different color thread on the front and back. I’m not new to sewing neither was my mom who would be 108 years old and sewed all her life. Why would you tell people such a thing

All I know is that you NEVER, EVER use 3-in-1 oil on a sewing machine!! It turns to solid gunk and freezes up your machine. Singer makes specially mixed sewing machine oil for basic metal against metal moving parts and sewing machine grease to use on cams, gears and bearings. Evan Walmart sells this stuff. Don’t cheap out on the important stuff to keep your machine running! And when stored properly it lasts a loooong time - so it’s a good investment!!💕

does this model have a thread cutter ?

There are close ups of the needle and bobbin threading at the end of the video in case it's hard to see in the middle of the video.

NO! God! Please! No! These holes are NOT for threading. It’s for checking the spool if it’s full of thread.

I'm still trying to get it done. Changed my bobbin so that both threads are the same. Never heard of that, but perhaps that's why the stitch keeps bulking up and not being tight? 🤷🏽‍♀️🥱 Gotta keep trying my hand at it. I'll get it sooner than later. Anyway, Thank you!😊

Thank you! I found my Brother in a local thrift store, and the button settings looked intimidatingly complicated. It did not come with the bag of goodies, so I have no button foot to make use of. But with your video, I now can do buttonholes. Do you have a video on how to sew straight lines? All of mine look like I should be charged with drunken operation of a sewing machine.

Good info, just purchased this exact same model new in the box at auction for 15 dollars. It appears to be a basic yet good little sewing machine to own and use. Great vid!

I have essentially the same machine. You’ve probably noticed by now, if you still use it, the little pigtail thread guide near the needle. Also the thread travels up from the tension spring through the guide, then back down through the same guide from the take up.

So a special button pressure foot isn't necessary? 😮

That " zipper" foot you use on your 201 singer.....is that a common foot or something you found??? I've never seen that foot used.

Hello from Idaho....i just found this and wanted you to know I too have a 201 singer ....i learned how to sew on that model. The 201-2 was one of Singers finest machines ever made. Your apron demo is great....that pattern is one ive made also. Hope you are around still and mKe more sewing video's. Ive been to Price, Utah too.... I just found a sewing machine like yours but it is 141 model. I know this is a stupid question but when I plug it up it automatically takes off. I thought I was supposed to press the pedal. Could you please tell me what to press to stop it lol
