Welcome to zp12684, home of the flagship Fresno State Football series! I've been interested in garbage trucks for as long as I could remember, waking up on Thursday morning and waiting for City of Fresno's Volvo Heil 7000s to come through my neighborhood. Unlike the Heil 700s, my interest in garbage trucks never went away, fast forwarding 15 or so years to 2020 when I really started making an effort to film the haulers in the Central Valley. That effort has since expanded to San Diego, Santa Cruz and other places in California where my interest has continued on. Sometimes the coolest trucks are right outside your door, while other times it requires some driving.
On this channel you can find everything from a 1998 Volvo Amrep collecting trash in scenic Yosemite National Park to a brand new futuristic 2022 Freightliner Econic Heil collecting trash in Clovis as well as many more!

Burbank Bulk Packing More with a PakMor
Can you really pack more with a PakMor? Burbank sure seems to think so! This PakMor is the outlier in Burbank's Heil dominated fleet. Burbank residents can request an unlimited number of bulky pickups from the city and have them collected on their service day. They use a flatbed for mattresses and white goods and everything else is picked up using the rear loader.

City of San Diego's NEW Battle Rear Loader Walk Around

San Diego received two of these diesel Battle PakMor rear loaders for the illegal dumping/community clean up events. This unit was in staging during a clean up event so enjoy this quick walk around! Illegal dumping will receive 4 more of these trucks which will eventually replace the older CCC diesels.

Last year, the City of Selma garbage contract went out to bid with three companies submitting a bid packet: WM, IWS and Mid Valley Disposal. The city ultimately chose MVD with a start date of July 1 2024. This was Lynn ranch I’m guessing. They send 3 good trucks down there every Monday. 205 a Volvo yard waste, 249 recycle, and 230 trash
Well I learn something new everyday from you it least I know where 205 & 249 Monday route are at too bad it would likely be too hard for me to go over there and film. Also that must have been the route Eli was telling me about when he was in 205 back on June 17,2024 doing that route he said.
I take it the spare 227 was being used as a spare for 205 that day sense yellow green is for yard waste, Grey for recycle and blue for trash how waste management did it.

Might be the first time I've seen an EJ truck collecting a stream different than what the signboard suggests. Great cart variety out in the suburbs of old GI territory, especially love the WM B-Series, my favorite cart from the company behind the classic Icons I'm familiar with from the coast. Love the shot you captured at the end, nice work!
EJ has always used the trucks with the recycle signboard for both recycle and yard waste

Why can't we in L.A get awesome rehabs like this?! I'm fed up with the amount of McNeilus and Heil over here. This also makes me question if Bakersfield's old Condor Octo Front Load is still alive somewhere, maybe being rehabbed.
Haha LA gets all the boring stuff it seems. Probably also has something to do with reliability as I assume most of the "boring" trucks were original to WARE and not "new to you" ones that we get down here that tend to break pretty often. How long ago did they get rid of that Condor?

they have so many school districts. I am not sure why they do not invest new trucks like they did for RecycLA?
I think that contract specifically called for new trucks from every hauler, that’s why Athens bought their ACX Heils, NASA bought their Peterbilt Amreps, WARE bought their Peterbilts, Republic bought their Peterbilt Heils, CalMet bought Peterbilts, WM bought their Autocar Amreps
