Great job on both builds! Building the older kit next to the newer one shows that either one can be made into a nice build. Most of my builds are the older kits and if they are made with today's "know hows" they will look a lot better than when the kit was first released years ago. ....

The Scimitar was used as a strike aircraft and not a fighter, because the aircraft didn’t carry any sort of air intercept radar the Sidewinder was the obvious choice if air-to-air armament had to be carried, the two primary British air-to-air missiles at the time were the Firestreak and the Red Top which were carried by the Fleet Air Arms interceptor of the time, the Sea Vixen.

My only experience of vac-form is an aftermarket canopy, which I found pretty tough to cut right - your pen trick is excellent.

I just got a 90's m060 shifter, the internal is actually a bit different. Even got more parts... Thanks for the video it's very helpful, now I will go figure out how to make my version of m060 work... Building a shifter with rocket science...

Always wondered if the offset insignia on the upper wing was done to throw off an enemy fighter's aim just enough to keep fire away from the pilot's area? Have a Mirage 1/48 sitting in my closet for 30 years, maybe I should build it.

Hello my friend, i am Kostas from Greece, i build aircraft in 1/72 scale and i love your videos. Just some info, the reason for the ofset insignia on the top of Polish aircraft in WW2 was to trick the enemy fighters as to were the center mass of the aircraft is and aim in the wrong place! Again great work and waiting for more interesting videos from you!

Thank you for the video. It must have been a beautiful resort hotel. Do you happen to know if this building was originally condominiums before becoming Hotel Nimrod? My husband would stay often with his godfather and ski when he was a child. This would've in the early 1940s. We visited once on the mid-2000s, and the entry doors, the reception area, the elevator and the narrow hallways to individual apartments looks very familiar. Beautiful photography, and an excellent choice of accompanying music!

Love this build of a vacuform Yak-17 wow really nice job! Q) Do you remember roughly how long it took you to build and finish it? One of these days I want to build one of my vacuform kits. Love your Amodel Yak-15 too! 👍 i just started on their Yak-17. How was the Amodel 15 to build? I know they are not the easiest kits to build. I did their Yak-1 a few years ago, lot of work but worth it in the end, thank you in advance 👍

It's not just for teenagers at all

Remember this Kit an how awful it is, it's the Italeri Bf-109 F with the same terrible spinner, only with a new tail and the Bumps of the G6. But nice looking ending result.

Very simple but effective model, pity the lack of a pilot, but there are some ones on the market.

I thought that the PST 1/72 scale trucks took some effort but this is pretty incredible stuff....

Just saw this! Finishing up the PST G8TA Tractor and Trailer in 1/72 today. These guys love casting gates.

Is this beginner friendly?

You did an excellent job on this short run kit from the early 1990's! One interesting aspect of our hobby is the number of experimental and hypothetical "what-if" aircraft from World War 2 are now available, in addition to much better kits of "staple" aircraft like the P-51, Spitfire, and Bf-109. I'm 63, and I have been building plastic models for over half a century. If we wanted a Nakajima Kikka when I was a schoolboy, all we could do was buy an extra Me-262, paint it in Japanese colors, and put Hinomarus from our spare parts box on it. We did likewise with an Me-163 if we wanted a Mitsubishi J8M Shūsui. Not perfect, but good enough if you were 14 in the mid-1970's. Thanks for posting this. 70th like.
