Sorry, but the skirt looks too big in hips and waist….bias skirt does not need 12 cm added to waist circumference and 4 cm to hip circumference.
I didn't add 12 cm to waist and 4 cm to hip. I added only 3 cm with 1 cm ...
@@marythedressmakerin you video you have formulas : 1/4 waist circumference +3cm, it means that you are adding 12 cm to full waist circumference ( 3x4= 12) . The same confusion with hips. It is very confusing, especially for beginners.
@@ornellam9052 Thank you for pointing this out! I understand how the formula might seem confusing and I'll consider how I can make this clearer in future videos. The additional centimeters added to the waist measurement in the formula are for the elastic waistband of the skirt, ensuring it can stretch over the hips easily. This added ease helps the skirt to be both comfortable and easy to put on. However, if you feel the added ease makes the skirt too loose, you're absolutely free to adjust it according to your preference and reduce or omit the extra centimeters. I hope this helps clarify things, especially for those who are new to sewing!

Are there any knit, stretchy fabrics made only from natural fibers? In my own research, I've only seen natural fibers blended with sinthetic, in various percentages, but have had no luck in finding anything 100%
Yes! there are some options available like: Organic Cotton Jersey; Bamboo Jersey; Wool Jersey; Rib knit

Recomanzi vreun brand anume de pen pentru marcaje? Eu mi-am comandat ceva random de pe eMag, insa dispare la cateva minute (fara sa calc sau incalzesc materialul), de uneori nici nu apuc sa termin taieturile 🤣
Ai luat unul care dispare de la sine dupa un anumit timp.☺ Iti recomand sa cauti marker croitorie lavabil (dispare cand aplici apa)

Hi, I hope you don't mind giving you a not asked for "advice" but the best way to fill a tailor's ham is with sawdust if you can. It just works better with pressing and moister will not stay inside the ham.
Thank you for the advice. Yes, I know about sawdust, I didn't had any at hand and I thought to put a good use of these fabric scraps :)
