I Got Clean In Prison: Ian Thomas Part 2
You didn't have to offend to end up in an Irish prison, my contention is you only had to be working class.
I sent this message to someone else, That's how I found out about yourself,My biggest problem is getting my own personal files from the state ie,Courts,Prisons,Gardi Irish Police. And above all the Irish Department Of Justice The Most Secret Organization In Ireland,If you check out judge Dermot Kinlen You Would See What ImTalking About.
I used to watch these guy in prison such a big inspiration and loved the podcast could never get enough watched em all over and over again big love keeep the pods coming guys ❤💪🔓
St Raphs, In the heart of Brent, you got StoneBridge, Harlesdan, Raphs, Neasden, then round the corner Kensal rise, mozart and last but not least Killy Kilburn. Must of had fun... I worked the stuarding gig as well did Wembley, watched Michael Jackson, did loads of the horseracing as well, Goodwood and Ascot. My ninja.. true survivours tale...
G4S taking the piss going from court to jail playing Akon locked up 😂
He’s a good guy
Wat a Muppet got 2.8 years for helping a friend sell weed and got nothing for it 😂 but jail and a free bag get out of here. Ceo 💩👋🏽
Listen mate, life is full of lessons. Never laugh at people thinking it can not be you. Secondly this young man is doing things to further his own life and still achieving great things despite a conviction. Unlike you, leaving poo emojis to bring down someone you haven't even met. Your parents must be proud.
💯
A wonderful conversation. Great questions, inspirational answers and very clear messages to take away. Well done!
If you culturally glorify ignorance, deplore learning and celebrate violence what on earth do you expect other than thuggery?
I had the privilege of meeting Ian a good few years ago! I can not remember where exactly was in a 12 step fellowship meeting somewhere. I’m so glad he’s doing well and would love to get in touch with him! This podcast is so powerful!
Thank you for sharing that George. He is an amazing person. I will make sure he sees your comment. Thanks for reaching out! LAP crew.

My partner is in side and he said as soon as he remanded he said it was my choice to stay or go and I choose to stay, we'd only been together 5yrs and I still with him now, and he's due to be released next year.
I'm sure your support means everything to him.
I’m from nyc. You should interview me. Prison saved my life to be honest. I did 7.5 years from facing life in prison to becoming a film director
Big up Corey J.Real guy. Now and back in the day.5 star genral.
Cooking in a kettle. Having a bird-bath in your sink if you miss a shower.
Thank you for being so courageous in sharing your story.
Thank you for your comment. We were so honoured that Joel shared his story with us.
If he lost part of his self in prison, then it seems to suggest that he either was, or felt guilty of his alleged crime. Great men went to prison and emerged greater.
I had this same situation. Except I didn't see other people. I needed a step back. He went to prison for 7 months for drinking and driving with a other female out doing who knows. I stayed with him thru it all. A couple months in o didn't talk to him for 2 months. And when I did contact him a couple months before he got out he said he didn't wanna be with me. We were together for 4 yrs. I feel like he didn't think about me thru all this process
This guy made me cry. Wonderful story.
Why are these two not smashing it? Check out the level of detail and professionalism that theyre doing? There's got to be some kind of local authority sponsorship and company partnership to go around and teach people of all types regarding this stuff
I've had two girl mates that were in prison. For one: it's a vicious cycle that goes around from alcohol and C. The other did a great pilot trial course that would have got her a council maintenance job. She fell off, unfortunately but i hope she willl wake up one day. Edit: both have said that theres a lot of female predator types in prison and theres a lot of "relationships" that go about
Comment for the algorithm. I came across this channel and consider it more philosophical and important in terms of case study anecdotal information than the likes of Atwood. Why isnt this more regularly viewed and promoted? Both of the presenters seem very profressional and allow the guests to actually expand and grace us with their experiences
Thanks for your comment. Hopefully the algorithm will respond!
I am seeing a woman that has nine years and we dated before and she contacted me and all those feelings came back now I am deep in thought about a relationship now
Loved it❤❤❤❤
Great video. It is a shame about the constant throat clearing though.
I wonder how George Grundy will do after he gets out of prison.
Amazing, huge respect to you for recognising your cleverness and going for it.
Man said a three year old read tbe book and became a champion wow! Even tbe way he explained it js sick! This guy a G
Thank you both for your podcast, I love your advice and stories. At work, I feel at times I am behind my peers. I feel at times that I am not where I should be career-wise. However, it comes down to our vision and staying focused on what we can do:)
Thanks so much that means a lot. Yea keep focussed! You got this. 💜
I had to turn my back on everyone and everything I knew! I’m 20 years removed now and have a good life and to make it better my record is now 100% clean
That sounds like it paid off for you! Thanks for your comment.
@@lifeafterprison it was difficult but the right choice for me to move past the life I was living
Yous 2 clearly havent experienced rule 62 in the high security block 😂 no pillow,no mirror, hunger strike for a nail clippers ✔ they gave in after 90 minutes 😂😂
No one thinks about the longterm effects after being released. “Mentally” I think the idea of going back prison is a question of your protected factors I.e family etc. love is also so unrated in regards to a stable life for men. Feeling loved, needed , wanted it provokes purpose
Thank you for sharing
What were you both in prison for if you don’t mind sharing? If this is mentioned in another episode please say which one. It’s so interesting hearing your perspective as an ex inmate. I’m now realising being in prison isn’t as black and white as everyone thinks. And not everyone that necessarily goes to prison is bad either. People make bad choices and have to deal with those consequences. Many come out as a reformed and even better version of themselves
Hey thanks so much for this comment. We talk about what we went away for in the first episode called 'Did You Ever Think You'd Go To Prison?'
I love your podcasts:) Keep up the great work:) I hope you are all well:)
That's so nice thank you!
I have been to prison, I served in the army and then a police officer (30 years for Queen and country), I did something wrong and because I was a police officer I was made an example of, I was sentenced to 20 months, 5 inside, 5 on tag still on probation. It’s hard for anyone to face prison but terrifying as a police officer. The worst part was being destroyed by the press.
Hope you can get James Timpson MP on the Minister of State for Prisons, Probation and Reducing Reoffending. I think he would be open to it to be honest.
Came from a clip on TikTok. Really interesting channel, looking forward to seeing more of your content.
Thanks so much! Appreciate the support.
Well done. Kudos to you, young man
Hi, can you bring back the longer episodes with guests from the streets/hood?
