Nice touch following the Q-Line down Woodward. May the Q-Line expand further to more spoke streets, especially to Central Station!

Proud to see Detroit coming back. If you saw this city 10-15 years ago you'd understand how far its come. I'm excited to see where it'll be in 10-15 more years. Between the Gordie Howe bridge ($6 bil), the hudson bulding(s) ($1 bil), world class rehabs with the train station and book tower ($1bil), and the UofM tech center ($300 mil) they're laying the foundation for the rebirth of a vibrant city. Detroits doing more that most cities.

Detroit is a beautiful city with distinctive and historic architecture. There sure is a collection of "Debbie Downers" here putting their 2 cents in. Detroit is moving forward every day 😊

YES IT IS! I was in Detroit a few months ago. The last time I was there (to actually visit and stay not just pass through) was 15 years ago. Detroit has made some significant changes and all for the better! The city truly feels like it’s a growing, exciting urban area. The changes from years ago is palpable. Somehow, Detroit 2000 of despair and decline has worked hard to morph into Detroit 2024 of hope and growth.

When will these f heads figure out that when you copy what others already do, they won’t get as many views and jog the whole thing up?

One new building does not make a new "skyline". I mean, the Hudson Tower isn't even completed yet and Detroit is already high-fiving itself! A new skyline would be a series of new prominent buildings. Come back after you've built a few more. At least you're heading in the right direction.

A handful of cheap-looking glass boxes attached to each other... and GM made sure it was not taller than THEIR tallest building. Detroit leadership blew it.

You think so, huh? I'm wondering the same thing, but if that were true, why would they move to a shorter building?

GM had nothing to do with the construction of either building. Goes to show how little you know about Detroit.

Excellent drove footage and Thank-you. I agree the new tower adds a different dimension to the skyline especially viewed from more downriver. Not a New York or even a Philadelphia., But now more impressive as the metropolis that Detroit is.

The Hudson high rise will be a 5 Star Edition Hotel. The 14 story block will have GM occupy at least 2 floors, plus retail on the lower level.

Your statement is a little vague but it would have been true 10 years ago but now a lot of the towers downtown are occupied 80-100%. This has lead to demand for new buildings.
