    How fast have you had her go and is it stable at high speed

    • @jasonmaiden5026
      @jasonmaiden5026 6 років тому

      John Sockriter I've had it up to 70mph & it is very stable. I might be able to get more speed with a larger carb tho.

    I'm really happy to see a few of these boats out there still. Some history for you on the GMC Cobra Jet Boats. My Grandfather and his cousin were the guys who made these boats. GMC stands for General Marine Corporation. They were based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If it wasn't for the price of gasoline skyrocketing in the early 80s they would probably still be around. I'm looking for one these to buy so we can have one in the family. Any leads on where to find one would be great! Thanks for the post!

      That is very cool. Old boats are just like old cars. Each one has a story. Thanks for sharing.

    Oh nice. My gma happens to have one with a ford 460 with a black panther pump she's been told that there was only 4 of them made and there was only 2 left out of the 4. She just told me that she's had it since the 80s.

    Although It's hard to tell with the wind noise it sounds like the motor is crapping out on the top end, or maybe It's hitting the rev limiter?

    wow, sweet boat man I hope u have lots of fun with it I just have one question, when a jet boat is going fast, does it have to have a huge rooster tail on the end? Or is that just preference, and it's possible to maintain speed with the trim down?

    I have an '06 Boss Hoss motorcycle with a 502ci big block, with a Demon 750 double pumper carb... sounds just like your baby... only on land. I put out a rooster-tail of smoke off the back wheel. It's as crazy as what YOU have going on. Niiiiiice!
