Which do you think has the better image quality, the FX3 or A7IV
Hmm, well I am using Tamron glass on the A7IV and Sony glass on the FX3 so it’s hard to make an accurate comparison. Both are excellent and there is a reason why I use the FX3 as the a cam, it’s so video centric

wonderful! if you could keep one - fx3 or a7iv for the image which would it be
FX3 without a doubt. I use the 2x A7IV purely for ceremony and speeches because all I need is 4K 25p from those events on the day. The FX3 is my primary camera which is the real workhorse on the day.
@@mitchelsonfilm what about if you were doing documentary work? Personal travel? Apartment videos for UA-cam “studio”?
@@jaymills1720 It really depends. Do you need 4K60/120 and the added benefit of no overheating if you are shooting in those modes for long periods of time. The A7IV is probably more than up to the job. It is a great hybrid too, awesome for photography.

Thanks - so for ceremony and speeches I’m using 2x A7IV with Sony 70-180 and then the Sony FX3 is handheld and with gimbal - 16-35 PZ during prep, 24-105 during ceremony and 50 GM for couple session. 😁
