FMS Toyota Cruiser 1:18

A test drive with a FMS 1:18 Toyota FJ Cruiser, a small RC car somewhere between toy and RC. It's a descent crawler but is a bit top heavy with its scale body, meaning it might roll without warning - especially if bouncing slightly as the shock absorbers are springs with minimal friction :-)

Despite very wet conditions including sticky leaves, the little Atlas managed to drive around in the woods. (Shot with an Insta One R and RunCam 2 4k.)

A tour with a stock RC Everest G7. (Well, 99% stock - The steering problem was solved by replacing the servo arm and altering the steering rod position.)
FMS Atlas 6x6 with Dji O3 Test

Well, got an idea about trying FPV on a small crawler RC car and ran a 5min test indoors and cut it down to a less than 2min clip. Recorded in 4k H.264 @60 FPS on the O3, but rendered down to FHD as the low light indoors affected the video quality. The Atlas 6x6 is stock and the O3 was running on an own small 3S pack as it had a small 12V fan attached.

Well, so I got an Avata and brought it out in the woods to test it. Carefully, as the trees and surroundings seemed hostile and I just wanted to get it home uncrashed. I have not experimented with any settings, just wanted to try it out, as I had the FPV googles 2 and fpv controller from my FPV kit.

Fint flyget! Jag har bara batterierna kvar från inomhus planet. Inga flygplan kvar sedan vi har flyttat... :-( Men jag kör lite quadkopters när jag har tid. Mycket skoj, även när jag är bara en glad nybörjare....
Tack, och jo, jag gick igenom gamla ackar och insåg man lessnat lite på drönarflyget; det här gamla planet med spruckna gångjärn gav lite mer utmaning :-)

Hello. I have a futaba 6EX just like yours and today, by mistake i changed polarity when connected the battery. Now, the remote is turning on, the display works, it tell me the voltage but the green LED on the back is turned off and there is no connection with the receiver. Is there any way I can fix it? I know a thing or two about electronics.

DOes futaba T10c work with it?
yes but you have to ensure the firmware is the one which uses futaba channel order, it was not available when the clip was shot but later it appeared on the product page.
Thanks for the upgrade data in the comments, I just bought one of these at a swap meet (brushless version) the motor and one of the servos are frozen.
Hang on do you need one or Tx permanently wired to the RX?

Hi teamnumnut, I have a problem using a similar setup, everything works ok but when I move the throttle my Inductrix start to do a wired movement on the motors. you can see clearly on this video ua-cam.com/video/8pG5CGVW2mA/v-deo.html. do you know whats could be happening?
No idea, usually you have to do some calibration procedure on a quad like that. I assume you have assigned the channels correctly and in a proper way (usually whatever ch you use as throttle, Futaba needs to be reversed in the radio/tx) But I see you have another problem - your TX seems to be transmitting (blue led is on). In the video your tx is pretty close to the quad and might interfere (as both your transmitter AND module are transmitting simultaneously)

Hi I have Futaba 2.4ghz I want to use as Master, and a Futaba 35meg as slave. Can I assume I can use a 35meg RX connected to the Master?

Not sure when I manage. The son is 4 months old, wife needs help with the children. Try to build some FPV mod for the Easystar until Spring and join then in worst case. Hope to be able to visit sooner for the indoor activities...

+MrTempleClause Look at about 0:10, where you see the module to the left and some wiring to the right. If you turn the module to the left and plug the wiring in you have it correctly, (white = signal = topmost, next is not connected, next is Vcc, next is GND and lowest is not connected either))

I think your steering servo is a bit slow for that system working fine.
