Hi, my learnings from Instax are: - You need to use the focusing screen that comes with it - There is a very narrow exposure range, no more than 4-5 stops - I find sometimes rating it at ISO 1000 can work well - I always let the film develop “face down “, and not in sunlight. - Finally, if in doubt expose for highlights, not shadows Congratulations on your first video. also the error didn't start at 7:07!, it occurred earlier, at 6:00 as you focussed without the mask added!-this compensates the ground glass position for the different focal plane ( the fp100C or instax cartridge have the film positioned 1/4" or so further into the holder, THE GROUND GLASS is only accurate for normal 'double darks" so you have also back focussed the image too!!!!!

I think you needed to refocus the Lomograflok using the spacer but I have also found it very difficult to get exposure correct with it.

one IMPORTANT TIP, at the end, when you pack up, push the top extension bed towards the back, as the front std is like a train, if the gap is too huge it derails!!, and here, the dovetail wears a little (knocks on the edge of the rails), causing the front to not lock square to the bed rails (in swing plane), so you then have lost the zero in this axis.

lomograflok back is best for this ( as the back auto-ejects the film, NO force from you), other than an older 545i quickload back, as these are 'grabbed' solidly by the grafflock bars, and viced into the camera, and one tip, if in any doubt, hold everything, even the film holder!, to prevent this kind of unexpected movement, this is why photographers TEST the shutter, to see if the lens is shut, same issue, just at the back, so like the classic amateur mistake of pulling the wrong darkslide, STOP, THINK, THEN DO!!!

when using the lomograflok you need a focus spacer in-between the ground-glass frame, like a film holder, but, as the cartridge, and back are there, there is extra space from the normal holders, so this needs to be accounted for, so likely you have some soft focus due to this.

What lut did you use For Sony fx30 the a7s3 or fx6? I’m unsure on witch to use.

Credit to you. Taking large format is challenging enough. Let alone trying to film the process as well. Thank you for sharing. Failure encourages other and is how we learn. I believe the Instamatic Back requires a spacer for focus as its film plane differs to the standard 4x5 plane. I use a spot meter regularly. I would suggest you meter the actual highlights and shadows that are important to you within the scene. Otherwise the incident function of the meter would suffice.

There is no need to use a spot meter. Professional LF photographers hardly ever use a spotmeter. Today most buyers of old second hand LF cameras think they need it. Your cable releae is too short.
