I’m Cassandra and join me on my journey learning and developing as a wood worker and gardener. My goal is to be self-sufficient by growing my own food and building what I need along the way. I believe that you are more capable than you think. Don’t be afraid to try it.
How to Make a Planter | Easy Build | Cedar Wood

I'm sharing how I made 2 outdoor planters from cedar wood.
This build is beginner friendly and can be completed over a weekend.
I purchased the wood from Lowes and I was shocked at how beautiful these boards were. Highly recommend checking there.

9 boards at 1in x 4in x 8ft
2" exterior screws
1 and 5/8ths exterior screws
Outdoor wood glue
brad nails
1x Pond liner (optional) 4 x 7ft
Wood sealer like spar urethane for outdoor use and water resistant
Stain only outside of planter if desired
Wood conditioner if staining (optional)

Louver Vent Cover for Crawl Space | DIY | No experience
Переглядів 2007 місяців тому
Hello Everyone, I am sharing my approach to creating a Louver style vent. I did this with only a block, glue and a brad nail gun. My technique is crude but it is simple and successful. The previous crawl space vent was over 30 years old and an upgrade was highly overdue. I hope this video helps you in any way small or big. Thank you for watching and you are more capable than you think. fyi, my ...

I don't do woodwork but that is a nice looking piece
Aww a fantastically put-together video for a fantastically put-together planter!! This was a delight to watch, and the project came out beautifully!!!
Switch blade 🔪 action was 🔥, lol. Great video 💪! Keep at it & stay strong!
It says, make your ideas real sketch to reality. Across the screenshot it says "Make it reality"
I've been searching for your channel for a year because I took a screenshot of a planter you built. I would love to learn how you built it.
@@katherinehansen5801 hi Katherine! Thank you for reaching out and looking for the channel! On my page I have a video on how to build those style of planters. If you have any questions reach out to me on IG and I can help you in better detail. My IG is also @citruscedar
How did you cut them ?
Good job mate!
I thought the main feature of these were the ability to write your measurements on the tape itself.
This is a nice fresh take on the planters that I've seen the last few years. I'm gonna have to rethink my planters and make some for my channel. New sub!
Awesome skills. Very organized in the way you work. Great job!
Solid work. But you should not vent your crawlspace 🤦🏼♂️
Less talk more 🍑
Awesome thumbnail! Even better video!
Nice job!
This was such a great video. Looking forward the future. Cheers
Thank you! Next video coming out this Saturday
Cool build!
Thank you 🙏🏻
you are so adorable ! I love your videos and how you explain things
They turned out very nice
Good money making idea. I personally see changes to make a short production run of 50 to 100 units. Yet Saved, Liked and Subscribed for now. Frankly, place the logo on the TOP SIDE. Vary the height, Maybe a step, Maybe an Asian Dining table. Little higher a short bench to take on and off footwear. A little higher, bench, a Little higher a planter stand. ETC.
Thank you and. I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for sharing your ideas. Do you wood work also?
@@citruscedar We all need a observant eye. Yours is quite keen! I watch, learn and make with the help of creative minds like yours! Thank You
So cute!
Do you like your brander? Which one did you get?
Sweet Planter!
Nice ❤
Amazing ❤ 🖤
Nice work❤
Great for your first time! The corners are the only thing I’d say you can perfect, everything else is already there.
Switching from a Ryobi to a Milwaukee was also a better decision.
You beat me to that comment bro 😂
💯 😆
Why?
Cuz it's fun
I heard you can make a career or of filling holes you just dug in there army...@@bababooey7216
I heard you can make a career out of filling holes you just dug in the army😅
Why not 😄
@@citruscedarbecause it doesn't deserve a purpose And there are women...
Nice work!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Kind suggestion: Camera on other side of table; back of head and shoulder blades doesn't inform that much.
Working on my filming for sure
What a great outcome! That was a cool unique jewelry box and you could have gone many different fun ways with decorating it. What you chose was lovely. Great work!
Thank you so much ❤️ I gave it to my sister and the look on her face 👀 she really liked it.
Awe so cute. Happy to see you saved this piece! 😊 When I do run across one in the the thrift stores. I always pick them up❤
Thrifting is the best. Saving pieces is so rewarding
these things are such a pain in the arse to use
You’ll get the hang of it 💪
@@citruscedar i already do. It's just a tedious procedure
Yep, I'm watching you here as well. Great work!
Thank you friend
Great design!! Building this soon. Keep up the great work.
Thank you!! I would love to see yours when it’s done 🙏🏻
Great planter! Excited to see more!
Thank you so much
💪
So sick
What’s in the booooox!?!?
You are so cool
😮😮😮😮😮😮
So cool
Nice plants!
Super duper. However in the interest of Health and safety you need to teach beginners to use a stick or gripper to feed wood into the table saw. These sort of small tables were used in Tamil Nadu to write and to read holy books. Please do one where you can fold and spread to read Holy Books.
Thank you for watching. You’re right tho about the safety aspect. I’ll look into making a book holder that would be fun. Thanks for the suggestion
😂 that’s great.
Enjoyed the tutoiral! I am curious about your grain direction fir the legs? It was hard to tell which way it was running?
Thank you for watching 🙏🏻 most of my stools the grain runs side to side. I accidentally did one where one leg went in a different grain direction 😅 whoops
Look at you becoming a You Tube star!
Me 🤣
Hey you can also get a small cup you won’t use again poor wood glue in and get your wood shavings your get some like literally wood glue😂 it works well to cover stuff up like that learned that from my shop teacher in hi-school
