This video shows the mounting of the clutch safety switch provided with the FFR Coyote Install Kit (for Gen 2). I have a hydraulic clutch setup from Mike Forte, which means the clutch quadrant for the mechanical clutch cable is not used. The FFR switch actuator bracket is mounted to the clutch pedal pivot I added a tapped 1/4-20 hole into the clevis to prevent rotation. This setup works very we...

Rose Theme Guitar - Part 7: Sealing and Staining

In this video, I show some of the different oils and stains that I tested to determine the final finish on this guitar. I ended up doing the following: -Sanded entire body (using 200 grit, 400 grit, and 600 grit) -Sealed the wood using Zinsser Seal Coat - this helps even out the stain so you don't get blotching -Sand the body after sealing (the mixture of Seal Coat denatured alcohol raises the ...

I had the same issue they used stainless washers when they should of had copper washers like all typical calipers do.. swap them out with copper ones and youre problem will go away atleast thats what i did
you may be missing and oring or gasket. contact the distributor and tell them you didn't get them
Gorgeous
Good video. How have you found the hydroboost to be with the Wilwoods?
Haven't tested it out yet - still building the rest of the car. I have heard mixed feedback - some say it will be just fine....others say it will be too much (i.e. overkill / on-off). We'll see once I get this thing running.
@@darryldaniel6699 I just read a post by Michael Everson saying that his customers really like hydroboost with the Wilwoods once they get used to them.
Insane
Could I buy this from you or pay you to make one for me
what cutting bit are you using with the dremel Great video
Why a naked woman, though? I never understood people's obsession with nude art.
If you really have to ask that question...well...I've got some bad news for you.
It’s all about the natural beauty of the human body
Nice job on the carving, only thing I would have done different is fill the carving with resin to restore the smooth top finish without loosing the design but credos to the fantastic look brother 👊👍
respect !!!
Have you ever used a thin broken piece of window glass as a scraper? I do woodcarving as a hobby:I always clean up my carvings with a broken piece of glass.I'ts quick, cheap and the finish is as good as any carving chisel can get!! Plus you get pointy shards great to get into any crevice.. PS. try on a scrap piece first to get the feel of it..I hope my tip is helpful..
Thanks. I'll definitely give this a try!
Awesomeness
So much better than a dragon or a stupid tiger.
Shielding the spring cavity is useless, the only "electronic part" in this area is the main ground and it cannot be parasited by 60 cycle, we use it to avoid 60 cycle hum so why to use ground to shield ground???
Wow that's a breathtaking guitar
Hi is there a place I can buy a similar stencil or that stencil?
Excelente trabalho, parabéns. Musica e escultura.
Hey what kind of dremel bit did you use?
It is technically not a Dremel bit - it is a 0.125in diameter 2-flute cnc endmill. Dremel collets can accept any type of 1/8 inch bits.
I think this bit was a flat bottomed end-mill but you can get ball-nose cnc bits that work also. I wanted sharp internal radii for the relief which is why I used the flat end-mill bit.
@@SirDboTexas Alright thanks for letting me know, also is there a template somewhere so I could trace something like that out?
beautiful.
i'm interested in getting both the rose and ladyu designs to practice my 1st guitar carving i really love your work! I tried to take photo on tv and print w no luck lol please advise...thank you kindly.
This is really stunning. Your design-drawing is really good and the execution also. Respect!! I am an amateur woodturner and an amateur guitar player and I was planning to do some carving on my Telecaster. That is how I found you on Pinterest. Your mind blowing video is a real inspiration and motivation to start this. Thank you. (If I may make 1 small remark: imo the end finish on the body should be more shiny or glossy. Maybe you could give it a few layers of varnish spray)
Check out my rose guitar. IMO a much better carving and finish.
@@SirDboTexas OK, found it. Let's have a look
This Carved Rose Strat is again stunning. I saw also your blue on black solo with the older guitar and I must admit that on this video the finish looked 100% OK. The carving on the Rose Strat may be of a higher level and complexity, but I like the first design more. But again, great work !!!
How much to do me a body like that😁👍 I actually thought a cnc did this til I watched the video. Wow!😯
I've never done a commission work. I don't trust myself with someone else's guitar as I'm not a professional carver and they take me about a year to complete. I thought about doing a 3D scan and cnc replicating to sell copies but just haven't done it.
@@SirDboTexas Scan and make copies man👍 Id want one myself. Lol Beautiful Work
@@SirDboTexas I have a Squire body I wouldnt mind getting done. I could even do all the finish sanding once its done to save you the extra work. Lol
Will ya look at the pick ups on that
Hermosísimo!!!!!!
Excellent, love it. That is fantastic work. God bless you brother.
That came out absolutely killer, good job man.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING
Great.Beautiful.Awesome
Awesome
Hey SirDbo Texas, If you are still monitoring the comments for this after 4 years, where did you come up with the artwork you traced? Did you draw it, buy it? Is is available in digital format?
The artwork was created by one of my co-workers. He is an industrial designer, so very good at concept and digital art.
Beautiful.
I was hoping no one else did something like this, Unfortunately you have and not only can I be the first but I almost certainly can't be the best. The guitar is truly beautiful. I'm no good at carving yet though so I'm not so sure what I was expecting. Hopefully I can find someone to help me out on that end, Have you thought of staining the guitar? If I go through with building one I think I may try and "paint" it with stain, not so sure how it will turn out though.
Look at the follow on videos....I did stain it. Take a look at my other videos for the completed guitar.
@@SirDboTexas Yeah my bad, I meant multiple stains, Like a painting. Red for the roses, green for the stems, etc.
Wow! You are a Master craftsman bro !🎸👍
I would love to see what you would do with a Jackson or Gibson V.
That is super dope! Nice work man.
Looks great but have to ask why you say "TremEWElow"?
That is probably the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. Outstanding design & execution. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Labor of love for sure, but I am really happy with the end result.
@@SirDboTexas You should be very proud, you have inspired me to give it a shot myself ;).
@@otccreations Haha...nice. Go for it. For more inspiration - check out GigsCarvedGuitars on UA-cam (super nice guy btw - he gave me a lot of tips along the way), Carver Doug, and William Jeffrey Jones guitars. Those 3 inspired me to try it...I had never seen anything like that before.
@@SirDboTexas Awesome! Thank you for the info. I will check them out :). I have never seen anything like this either. It really is amazing! I already have an idea in mind. I'm going to draw up a tribal design with integrated roses and thorny vines. My neck has tribal inlays so I think that would be a nice addition to keep it going on the body as well. Thanks again!!! Wish me luck ;)
all that work and you used ugly common screws to attach the pick guard.
Put in the work to design and carve your own and then put whatever you want on it.
How about you post a video of you completing the same style of project to show us the rest of us how it's done.
Work if art
sweet.
What's the title of the background music?
Are you selling it??
Beautiful!! Nice job brother!
I REALLY LIKE IT! If there's ONE THING I'd change, it'd be that chrome jack plate. Can you carve one of those in rosewood to match!? lol. No really, great job! I tried to carve a charvel body back in the 90s. It ended up in the trash like a week later! I'd say I'd have left her nipple exposed, but I guess that would have scratched up your picking forearm! Especially when it got cold out!
Holy shit
does the carving produce a better tone
I would not say it is better or worse. I changed out the electronics during the reassembly with new pickups so that made the biggest difference in sound quality. I would guess since removing some wood you may lose a tiny bit of sustain, but I couldn't really notice any dropoff from before/after.
the guitar turned out fantastic. I was just kidding about the tone
Gorgeous work indeed! I just wonder how practical it is to play with all the protruding edges where the right arm rests on the guitar!
I play it every day and it doesn't bother me at all. I was worried about that... But the edges are curved back enough that you don't even notice at all.
Wow!
neat
Beautiful yes, but finding wooden strings will be the hard part!
