BEST Method to Clean Glass Awnings WITHOUT Harsh Chemicals
Try this method if you are worried about using just a water fed pole or sodium hypochlorite.
I think this is the absolute best method to clean glass awnings as they can be super tricky to get really clean and have happy customers.
If you want to add a splash of SH to the mix, you definitely can if you aren’t worried about using the bleach in the mix.

I’m enjoying your informative videos. I just had an upper endoscopy because of swallowing issues that started 7 mos ago and only happens on occasion but I wake up in middle of the night with stomach pain, then dry cough that escalates into dry heaves. I believe that there is something stuck in my throat that the dry heaves dislodges. The GI Dr thought it looked like eoe because of the rings in my esophagus. He took 2 biopsies but came back negative for eoe. Earlier in the day that they called to say that I ate two bites of my lunch and it stuck in the base of my throat. It took an hour to go down and was really scary. But it only happens a few times a week or so. But seems to be happening a little more often. I’m wondering if it was misdiagnosed or maybe too soon to not show eosinophils. There are definite rings there. One question, did or do you get sick to your stomach or have stomach pain with it? I’m so glad you’re doing better
I just had this done the other day for an emergency reason. I woke up and pulled tube completely out and now two days later my throat is still killing me to swallow
TLDR: 5 years later, still treating EOE completely with 10mg PPI.
Thank you so much dude. I got EOE, and im 14 currently at 76 pounds. I feel terrible about my weight and i hope this helps since it is coming from someone that experiences EoE instead of some dude saying, "just eat more" people don't understand. I EAT SO MU&CH AND DONT GAIN WEIGTHT! anyways, hope this helps me, thanks :)
Yeah it’s tough. Honestly, when I was in high school, I wasn’t a big kid at all. Probably heaviest was 160 at the end. Once I “grew up” a bit and went into my later/mid 20s I easily put size on. The hard reality is you gotta eat more or just wait and hopefully you’ll naturally mature and grow in size like I did. I’ve never been a big eater at all and have hit 240 (not fat at all but now as lean as I was at 220) but leaning out now. Good luck man!
In my experience, the easiest way to gain weight is to add more oils and nut/seed butters to your diet. Personally I can't have peanut butter right now because of the EOE elimination diet, but I can have sunflower butter, it's kinda similar, and I add extra oil to some foods too, it just jacks the calories way up. Another key is really finding foods that are very yummy to you, so you are tempted to eat more naturally. That can be hard with an EOE elimination diet because so many yummy foods are off limits, but if you can find some allowed foods that you love so much, that helps a lot for me
Anyone become a very slow eater over the last few years before diagnosis?
So from the time you were diagnosed, did your doctor Prescribe PPI? How long did you take it before you were able to swallow solids and liquids just like before? Also did you take a liquid form since you couldn't swallow? How did you find out that the protein in dairy was the cause of your Eoe? Great that your wife is a nutritionist.
I didn’t go on PPIs right away. Not sure how long before I did. Probably a while, like over 6 months I’d imagine. I didn’t get back to normal for a long time. I went through the whole elimination and I think it was a bit but mainly after I eliminated dairy and let my body heal for a while before I started eating more solid foods. Gastroenterologist was the person who told me.
I’ve been doing the diet elimination for several months now. (I’ve had EOE for 10 years). My swallowing has improved, not by leaps and bounds. But no impaction.
can i ask if you were taking any medications while diet elimination ?
I woke up during my scope, as well. It wasn't the greatest feeling! I was diagnosed in my early 40s. There was almost no information available regarding eoe.
My symptoms can be mimicked from anyone by pressing on a part in the front of my neck. Is that suspicious?
Is it a very suspicious symptom to have a feeling that something is pressing on the front of my neck with a lump there at the same time?
Are these “symptoms” highly suspicious? very gradually get a lump in the throat feeling with a bit of tightness there come on and linger for a couple hours after I eat something then usually stops, but then will come back on without anything some other time, doesn’t affect my breathing at all though, the tight feeling/ urge to swallow a lump makes it harder to sleep sometimes..
I think I can kind of relate to that feeling if my memory is correct…maybe not exact but my throat never felt really good. A lump could be an indication of inflammation but not exactly sure obviously
@@LKGJO would it feel like something is slightly pressing on the front of your neck somewhere?
@@LKGJO late term “symptom” is that it’s noisier when swallowing as well like a quiet crackle sound
@@LKGJO the lump feels like it’s only on the left side sometimes I wake up in the morning with the feeling of needing to swallow a ball of mucus that isn’t actually there, and some days when I swallow in the position of lying in bed, there’s a muscle that I could tense that would feel a click back into place no pain on the left
@@LKGJO my symptoms gradually go away as I get hungry. Some things start it up depending what I’m around like dust a little but
And then there’s doctors who gaslight you saying it’s “anxiety”
You’re the hope I needed right now. Never knew anyone who had it until I got it. It’s been at least 2 years now and I’m struggling. I need to get serious about keeping foods that won’t cause so many flare ups
Working through an elimination diet really helped me. If you want/can afford it. Check out the guide at Chelsea Celeste nutrition website. That was my exact plan of how I did it. Don’t feel the need if you think you can tackle it solo though!
It's incurable. Just treatable
According to who? Not saying you’re wrong but there seems to be professionals stating both sides
It's cause by allergic reactions so yes you can outgrow it. Bodies werid you can never been allergic to anything wake up at 40 and be allergic to the food you always ate or vice versa
@LKGJO according to every single doctor. Lol
@@PageandPlant4Life in can go in remission and never have promblem again. Everyone different have heard testimony of ppl going away .. wish mine would lol
@faithfultheology mine went away for like 7 years and recently flared up.. while eating the same foods I have this whole time. Could be environmental. I might try parasite cleansing as a next step
Thx for sharing. I'm in it 3 years now. Doing 6 food elemination diet since 2. But still struggling. Maybe because of the side effects of the ppi + cortisone. Really want to get of medication. Then start reintroducing food. Will be rocky though 😁
It’s definitely a journey!
Hello, I was diagnosed with EOE 2020 and I have been pretty strict in not taking PPIs . I’ve tried that stuff called triad and now athletic greens but every once in a while if flares up, but I wanted to ask you if you experienced very discomforting bloating in you upper stomach, with like a weird pulse up into my neck. Have you felt any of these symptoms? Thanks for your time
Never really felt bloating from EoE but now that I’m introducing more fiber in my diet it’s taking time to adjust. Wanting to heal my gut more
Glad to hear that you're healed. I have a question, did you ever feel breathing difficulties with EoE? I was diagnosed with Esophagitis few months ago. But I'm still feeling so bad until now. PPI didn't work, caused me side effects even after taking them for few days up to a month.
Oh that’s crazy, I never experienced that at all! Hopefully you find a solution that works for you.
I did and had to get dilated
Hi how is your symptoms now with eoe. What diet do you follow and medications are you taking. Very interested to know
If you watch my last update video I talk more in depth. I’m really good now though, not many symptoms at all and still on PPIs every now and then just not daily.
@@LKGJO Can eoe triggers be from other foods other than the 8 allergens?
Oh I would imagine so. Those are just the common ones but people can be allergic to all sorts of foods
@@LKGJO When i remove a certain trigger from my diet, and symptoms still last for a couple of days. Should i wait longer or remove another food trigger from my diet?
I would remove all elimination foods then reintroduce (after I had a healthy baseline with no symptoms) then reintroduce goods one at a time. I would take about 1-2months per reintroduction. You could probably only do 1 month but that’s what I did. Couple days is not long enough I don’t think. Your body needs to adjust and figure out what’s happening whether good or bad
I think i got mine by accidentally inhaling toxic fumes
Dang that’s crazy! Hopefully you can heal your immune system again so it goes away
Did you get it after you started firefighting or before. Just wondering because I got this from toxic metalworking fumes. Maybe you got yours from toxic smoke inhallation.
It was after I started fire when I was paid on call but took full effect when I got hired on full time. Who knows though, I honestly think it’s all the junk in the food but again, no idea :/
@@LKGJO check your nose and throat to see if it feels different. that would be a sign that it was smoke. like if you are having more trouble breathing out your nose. it could be inflamed.
Haven’t noticed that before so I doubt it
I thought GERD was bad 😞, this is horrible. I struggle with my condition every day but i feel for you guys with this .❤
They all suck haha.
It’s not like that in the US. I’ve had about 8 EGD (scopes). They sedate you well, and you never know any of the procedure.
All of mine were great except the very first one. After I had a new specialist I never had that issue really. They’ve been a good experience after that
wait this can heal!!!!?
Well I’ve been told by specialists that it can and you can grow out of it. I had a lot of eosinophil counts, then did the diet and PPIs, and had none sign of EoE. I haven’t had symptoms really in years now. Some say it just goes dormant but I’m thinking if you can really heal your gut then it can go away. There’s many other people who have healed auto immune diseases before
I've had eoe for a long while but its never been too bad but like a dumb*** I kept eating like I normally have. I'm only 22 so its hit me pretty hard that I cant really enjoy food the way I did before. to keep it short thanks for this information, I needed something I could use to have more calories in my day.
Yeah I tend to add breaks from dairy which is my trigger food and then go back on it. Kinda like a little fast from it once in a while. I’ve been good doing that so far so we will see!
Don't keep eating normal with eoe cause by 40. Your throat will be so scar it won't be worth it
I have eoe I cut out of dairy out I am now allergic to all nuts and pollen so it stinks and also I eat cream and cheese and pasta I can’t eat so now I’m going for my 3rd endoscopy cause last time I had one they couldn’t get to my stomach so they went to try again and see
Like I can be around nuts but I can’t eat them my throat closes up so now I’m getting allergy shots now
That sounds rough! I hope it works out for you!
Do you eat eggs, since it’s similar to the chemicals found in dairy. and do you find it difficult to swallow. Also do you regularly have soya in your diet
I don’t have any problem with eggs. They are in a different category than dairy. It’s more so the protein found in dairy what I react to. Don’t really have much soy
I can't eat oats, bananas, spinach or strawberries ... wish I could though
I hear you, dairy is a no go for me. Try swapping in hemp hearts, flax seed, chia seeds and then different fruit. I haven’t heard of many that can’t have spinach so that sucks! Can you take a green powder?
@LKGJO I'm on a chemical elimination diet too, I have EoE and another disease that eliminates a ton of other foods. I used to be around 230 lbs lean, and nowadays I'm around 190 and find it nearly impossible to put on weight with this diet.
Yeah it’s tough to gain weight without eating a ton of solid foods. I dropped to below 167 being a 215 lean. It was a pretty big change haha.
How long did it take for your symptoms to ease once you started the elimination diet? Also is your oesophagus completely healed now? Got diagnosed myself.
I think it was a couple months before things started to cool down and I didn’t worry about eating solid food. It was a long time before I got “healed” I was on an elimination diet and scoped for over a year easily. Once I found my trigger food and went on PPIs then it was smoother sailing from there. It takes time but for me at least there was a light at the end. Best of luck and be strict on the elimination. Really read the food labels!
Tyty for sharing your story. Just diagnosed w EOE. I now have hope that this might not be a life long issue once I get it under control. Thx again.
Best of luck! It gets easier when you get a handle on it.
Time is precious. Flexible time beats being controlled by clock or bell.
39 does indicate EOE. Anything over 15 is EOE. That’s the defined portion of diagnosing it. You don’t just have the issue disappear, you can go into remission, but it can randomly come back overnight after months and years of it being gone. Go look up diagnostic guidelines on it. Over 15 anywhere in the esophagus is EOE.
I had 39 in my lower part which doesn’t always indicate EoE which is what I was told. My eosinophil counts were high in the upper part which indicates more EoE because people can have eosinophil counts from GERD or a “leaky” valve to the stomach which then is not EoE. But hey this is just what I’ve been told. My EoE was very gradual, never an overnight thing, so the only way I feel symptoms is if I were to eat tons of dairy for months and months.
Hi how did you battle your eoe and find your diet for it
EOE sucks ass. I just got diagnosed after years of scopes and them telling me the inflammation was GERD. EOE isn’t caused by gerd, it’s an immune response.
So true to both!
Did coffee, alcohol, pre workout, protein powder affect you at all?
When I took Whey protein it definitely kept making everything worse. But all these things you mentioned are not great for the gut and stomach acid so they don’t really help your case with EoE. I avoid most of it and don’t drink coffee barely ever, same with alcohol. If I have a protein shake late at night before I go to bed I can get really bad heartburn too.(regardless of the type of protein, even vegan)
I was diagnosed this month after a gastroscopy. I wasnt able to be sedated for it as I had to get public transport home! It wasn't a great experience, so the thought of have 6 scopes every 2 months is scary to me. But i dont want to be on the medication anymore then i have to be as it causes low magnesium, which affects the heart. I suffer from ectopic beats so I need magnesium!
Yeah my first scope wasn’t fun but every one after that wasn’t bad. Interesting about the ectopic beats!
This has helped me greatly, I suffer from autoimmune and now on a special diet and it is getting better. They said it will never go away, but you can manage it. Thank you
My doctor has said you can grow out of it but it’s also person to person so not for everyone obviously. Hope yours goes away!
@LKGJO you don't grow out of it. It is a disease. It has to be changed by the foods you are eating, sometimes. It runs in your cells, and it can be helped, but it takes time. Does not grow away from you. You need to correct it, not the doctor. He can assist you!but that is it your responsibility, you need not be afraid . But you can get.infornation on it now. Just give your symptoms to your doctor, preferably an immunologist, they are better for this type of problem! Good luck
@@LKGJO Thankyou you are very kind.
Did your esophagus narrow and did you ever get dilated?
Never got dilated thankfully! Once I went off dairy and went on PPIs then things went to pretty much normal
Does anyone find that reactions occur more often when you are feeling tense or stressed?
Stress is a killing and contributed to so many things so I wouldn’t be surprised!
Jorveza helps a lot but i find that it can cause bloating after prolonged use.
Never tried that one!
Jorveza gave me terrible side affects
@@fayepitcher1780 my consultant was surprised to hear that I suffered from side effects as he claimed that no one other patient of his complained of having any side effects. This treatment has only been available for three or four years in the UK.
Yeah this cropped up in my ~10 years ago out of nowhere. Food good stuck at a work lunch, bad time all around. I also had some GERD issues which compounded this. I've cut back on dairy and it has helped a ton. Endoscopies still show a high EoE count and rings; however, food swallowing issues are almost entirely gone now. I've also gotten to the point that if food gets stuck, I can actually relax and get it to go down..... (hard to explain, buuuuut) They put me on PPIs to see if EoE count would go down, but it did not help. Currently looking at getting Jorveza (orodispersible budesonide) to see if that actually clears up counts/rings. P.S. Yes, dairy seems to cause me a lot of issues as well, which sucks. LOVE ice cream! :( 100% correct that it isn't lactose, it is an animal protein found in the dairy.
Sucks that PPIs aren't working! I hope you figure things out. Cutting dairy was the worst haha. I absolutely love ice cream and cheese. When you really look, almost everything has dairy in it too :'(
Dairy *IS* everywhere! I cut back as much as I can and it does help, though. I'm not 100% 'cured' but my swallowing issues are 95% better. I can literally go months w/o any issues, though when endoscopy is done, they still see EoE ... @@LKGJO
I remember when I was testing and getting scopes. I had to be SUPER strict on my diet. But now I’ve been off it I don’t have EoE anymore according to my eosinophil counts. Hopefully your scope goes well!
Been suffering for exactly one year, did an endoscopy recently and discovered I have eoe.. If you were to give the ideal roadmap to success to heal what would it be? Maybe the strict 6 elim diet while on ppi’s for x amount of time? I’m open to your roadmap as someone who made it through it.
Honestly, just knowing if you have EoE is a way better start than I had. It was many months before I was able to get a scope and confirm anything. I will leave a link to the exact plan I did to get me back to normal. It sucks a bit at the start eliminating everything basically but it gets better once you figure trigger foods out. I did this diet but also took 20mg of PPI at the same time. PPI's really helped me but the diet is #1 out of anything. I'd take PPIs till you have it figured out and no more symptoms. Then you could maybe look at reducing the amount over time but I've been on them for years and still take a really low dose. www.chelcceleste.com/product-page/be-free-from-eoe-ebook-bundle
This is so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your story with us :)
Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
I was diagnosed with eoe in 2016 I had eliminated just seafood and I thought I had it under control fast forward 2021 I was dealing with eoe again and I just made the decision to eliminated all 6.... but 2024 I want to see where I am at I'm pretty sure I'm not allergic to all 6 .... but I am scared to feeling food impaction....
Food impactions definitely suck so it's probably a good idea to figure out what's triggering your EoE. It also may be causing more stomach acid which is typically why people get food stuck (in the lower part). If you're really struggling, I would probably stay away from alcohol, spicy foods and whatever the trigger food is too.
Please keep us posted
can you give a few more examples of what you would eat during the 6 food elimination diet? I know this video is old... but im currently going through the same things, and im really struggling to find anything at all to eat
That's definitely a loaded question because I have no idea what stage you're at and what you're eliminating. Honestly, when I eliminated everything to begin with (when I could finally eat solid food), I was probably eating a lot of rice, chicken/meats and fish, veggies, and oatmeal. I'd also have some soups loaded with nutrients and then lots of smoothies. If you want to know exactly what I ate and did to heal EoE I'll leave this guide here: www.chelcceleste.com/webinar-registration. You can also check out the smoothie video I just posted which shows you what I made all the time. You can add chia seeds, flex seeds, hemp hearts and whatever else you want to it to make it even more loaded with calories and nutrients. Hope this helps!
its funny you said peach because before i was diagnosed with EOE or knew what it was i had an aversion to eating peaches because they would always cause me pain and get stuck in the esophagus. apples too. not sure if it was the acids in them or what.
Ha yeah, the crazy thing was I spent hours in emergency from it just waiting and they didn't really do anything. Just slowly went down. Could definitely be caused from stomach acid in the lower part of the esophagus causing eosinophils to be present there. That's mainly why people get food stuck in the lower part.
this disease sucks. be careful, i thought i got over it for a couple years after finding one of my main triggers and cutting it out but now its back. most doctors have no idea wtf this disease is and the non specialists like your primary care doctor dont take it seriously
I've been really lucky I have some great doctors and the advice I've heard is that you can outgrow it if you treat it like I did with PPIs and staying away from trigger foods. It seemed to have worked for me but obviously not the case for everyone. I'm still not going to go crazy with dairy in my case but I'll definitely have it on occasion and not feel I can't if I'm out with people.
Luke are you on instagram? I’d like to get in touch buddy
Yeah I'm on Instagram! I'd love to chat
Have this it sucks I cut dairy out at first don't do much for me it comes and goes for I take floticazon nexum and sometimes benadryl for flare ups have had 6 dilations in 15 year so not to bad maybe 10 days in Hospitals all together
That's a lot of dilations! Thankfully by doing the elimination diet properly for me helped me figure it all out. It was a long process but worked in the end. Dairy is a crappy thing to not have since it's in everything!
@LKGJO glad your feeling better man so much better for you in the long run if you can do it with diet change alone I really appreciate people who post there videos on UA-cam like this back when I first started getting sick in early 2000s wasn't well know what it was or how to treat it
@@thebeermaker2102 It's crazy the lack of information out there. I felt hopeless when I first found out.
Hey Luke. I laughed at the spot in the video where you said you try to fight the anesthesia...I just had another dilation and biopsy yesterday and I do that every-time. I wont go through my story as its too long, but Im 63 and it all started when I was 24 years old. Had every test known to man kind done. My EOE is not a result of GERD. I have done the food elimination diet, steroid sprays, ampitriptline which is supposed to help, and a murried of other things. I have a GREAT gastroenterologist and he said Im one of the worst EOE patients he's seen. I have chocked on food more times than i can remember. I have been dilated more than a dozen times. I used to fly a lot for my business...i used to purposely sit in an isle seat as it was a disaster when i was next to the window and i had to get up quickly to rush to the bathroom to try and get it to come back up. My Dr is now suggesting I go on Dupixen. It is a once a week, once every 2 week, or once a month injection, but when your on it, its for life...im not sure im ready to go there. Its cool hearing about other peoples struggles with it as if you dont have it, you really have no idea what its like to constantly be worried is the next bite gonna be the one. I'm a gym rat as well, and can appreciate how tough it is to have to stay away from certain foods. I have been an entrepreneur since I was 31, so good luck with your business, wish you much success!
Hey Mark! I really appreciate you response and story. I can't imagine going through life for that long with all the uncertainty. Hopefully you feel good about whatever decision you make on the medication. I appreciate the encouragement as well, it's been fun but also a lot of work starting a business! Take care!
Ive just been diagnosed after a year of being stabbed and jabbed by drs and changed onto my 3rd Dr here in Australia. Because they didnt know what was going on.. i was at the stage where i was getting bloods done daily... i lost 63 kilos and.. and they kept telling me it was my anxiety attacks and dysphagia..at this point i literally turned off all foods an lived off ",sustagen & Up&Gos" i turned off food for the whole year no joke.. and when i wqs attempting... i was literally chewing an sucking the flavours out of everything but never swallowed anything bevause the unknown fear Im going in for DILATION ON THE 1ST DECEMBER ❤
That's a crazy experience! I'm so sorry it was so difficult. Hopefully you find a solution soon and get back to normal.
@LKGJO thank you I'm going in for dilation on the 1st December im pretty anxious about the (am I going to die) part though. Any tips ?
@@ShutUpMeg__ I don't think you're going to die! Haha. I've never actually had a dilation so I'm not too sure. I would imagine they will sedate you though, similar to a scope. I would just remember that people do this all the time so I would just try and think about how things will hopefully be better after the procedure :)
