Un tube du répertoire forró de Sivuca, interprété à la guitare manouche. Un thème, puis deux chorus que j'ai écrits. Enregistré avec un Zoom H4, pas d'editing. Here is my guitar transcription of the theme and solos played by Benny Carter in 1936, in his swing quartet recording. This mazurka is originally composed and played by mandolinist Giovanni Gioviale on mandolin. I figured out it's playable on guitar... But hard! I did a recording of this tune on 6-string banjo a year ago but I found smoother fingerings since then and wanted to play it cleaner, with better audio quality, and on guitar (and a bit faster)... Not perfect still but better than a year ago.

A version I made of this ragtime tune originally composed for 5-string fingerstyle banjo or 4-string plectrum banjo. Recorded with a guitar backing track. Banjo is a Deering 6-string Maple Blossom, tuned like a guitar. Composed by English musician Emile Grimshaw in 1915.

Thanks a lot! Yes, it's quite difficult to play on guitar. Also, I play it way slower than Gioviale himself,which helps. Besides,this kind of tune has good melodic ideas to reuse and makes a good base for arpeggios work
