I Touched HER and HE Felt It!
This is a mindblowing mentalism trick that I use all the time. It's bar none my favourite trick of all time. I love the idea of creating magic that's based around connection.

The Linking Finger Rings is a phenomenal illusion. I love this trick. I don't do it at every show, but I probably should. It's pretty mind blowing!
I Made Her See Something She Wasn't Actually Seeing!

An interesting mentalism trick that's all based around making people see things they're not actually seeing. This performance is from my show "Reality Shmeality" at the Airlane in Thunder Bay on October 5th 2024. It's a super fun piece, one of my favourite ways to close a show!

This is one of my favourite telepathy type of experiments. I perform it in most of my stage shows and it always hits hard. Mentalism at its finest, in my opinion. Thanks to Luke Jeremy for being so creative and smart. This routine is mint.
How Magic Can Save Your Mental Health

My journey from mental illness to wellness has been greatly helped by magic practice and performance. I love magic, and it has given me so much in life. More than just a hobby and a career, it has given me so many great opportunities for friendships and connections and happiness. I want other people to experience the gifts that magic gave me. So pick up a deck of cards, and dive into it! There'...
My Version of an Asi Wind/Chan Canasta Trick

I wasn't thrilled with the way either Asi or Chan handled the spectator picking the right card in the right pocket, so I developed my own method. But this routine is definitely built upon their work!

Luke Jermay's For Andruzzi...it's a twisted and dark magic trick that I kinda love and kinda feel uncomfortable about performing. What do you think of it?

Dunbury Delusion - Sleight of Hand With Cards
Переглядів 482 місяці тому
This is one of my favourite impromptu card tricks. It uses a normal deck and is pure sleight of hand. It's a classic trick in magic, and it's one of my favourite failure effects, as Tommy Wonder called them. I love magic tricks where it seems like I mess up and then it comes full circle.

Matawa Education Conference Magic 2024
Magic allows the practitioner to participate in, to use magician Paul Harris' phrase, "the art of astonishment." More than anything else, I enjoy that. Occasionally I will share an effect, hoping the astonishment transfers, but mostly I work on things for my own edification-- I just like to learn. Because magic is practiced-- let's face it-- alone, it is possible to get lost in frustration. Magic teaches patience... At its highest levels, it becomes art. Rene Lavand said a magician should always strive to become an artist. The ART of Astonishment is possible. I saw magician R. Paul Wilson perform his version of Lavand's "The Three Bread Crumbs" in a room full of magicians, and he astonished the room into silence.
That’s cool! I’d love to have seen that performance of the 3 bread crumbs. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, and I totally agree that a magician should strive to be an artist. Magic has the potential to be beautiful and artistic.
I can't really make out the words over the music 😢
What's the name of trick? Where can I learn?
@@MJ-sj7kj Asi published a version in repertoire but the version in this video is my own and I haven’t published it.
So great. Really lovely and fun to watch...Thank you for sharing this.
@@idiotcoin7183 glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words.
A great pairing! I'm doing a competition with two decks soon where I will be doing similar - being able to do "name a card" tricks without naming them makes it much stronger in my opinion and gives makes any procedures take a lot less scrutiny.
@@davidfillary cool! Sounds like some interesting ideas.
Crazyy !! Can you please tell me the name of this trick ?
@@quangtran2250 it’s something I came up with. Doesn’t have a name. Glad you like it though!
what is the first trick called? Thank you.
Hell yeah.
@@Flactoid1 🤘
If I had seen this 15+ years ago, I would have thought it was staged, or you made a lucky guess. Love it 😁
I have a good idea of how this is done, when the performer puts the deck under the table he turns the whole deck over except for the top card, he then asks the assistant, to place the cards under the table and the trick works itself from there, the only way that I can think he would find the chosen card with the deck face down is the deck is marked!
The spectator is instructed to take the card from a random place.
@@CristianKirk Yes!! just watched it again, you are right...... baffling.
Nice!

@@Flactoid1 I’ll have to check him out! I’m not familiar.
@@mackinleys.delusions Hell yeah. He's nothing ground-breaking. I just like seeing footage of him in the real world. He does a routine similar to this one, so it excited me 😂
Cool, thanks for the heads up on him!
YES.
Fantastic work - doesnt get much more direct!
@@davidfillary thanks man! Yeah I like this direct prediction style. ✌️☮️
Why do you give so much away in the title and description? BIG mistake. Call it a demonstration of mind reading. You could also use some edting.
Fantastic street magic! You killed it. As a fellow mentalist, may I ask if you obtained cooperators info digitally, by paper, or by some other means? I'm interested in performing street magic/mentalism at night but fear that paper work (my preference) may be hard to read in that setting. Seems you found good lighting and it may not be an issue, I'm just interested in your experience. New sub :))
@@traytonmonju3943 hey man! Thanks for the comment and interest but I don’t think this is the right place to discuss any sort of method. In fact your comment comes very close to exposure. Secrets are important. Keep them secret. ☮️✌️
@@mackinleys.delusions I did not intend to expose secrets, I just wanted fellowship/advice from a fellow performer. Though, regarding secrets, I'm in the Penn and Teller camp: I do not think secrets are important. Nowadays, almost every secret is free online. Every trade has "secrets"; magic is not unique in that way. It's the artistic use of these "secrets" that most impresses me. To me, those who are intent on hiding secrets can fall into the trap of lying to their audiences about the powers they must possess to accomplish miracles, instead of emphasizing the real truth that magic (in this context) is the art of entertaining illusion. Illusions are still appreciated when the secrets are known so long they are presented entertainingly, again, P&T have demonstrated this many times throughout their career. Fool Us has also shown that sometimes known secrets can throw people off to the actual method. Personally, as one of your viewers, I watch street magic videos like this for full street magic performances; it inspires me to go out and do it myself. I also recognize that this medium, since its inception with Blaine, has almost always not shown full performances, even though that's what I prefer to watch. On YT, JS Magic and Sha King are my favorites in this space because of their dedication to showing honest performance. If I, as a magician and magic lover, am not your intended audience, I do not need to be here. I was just curious what part of the performance I was missing in the edits here as it was unjustified to me as a viewer. Please forgive me if I'm coming across a little strong in this long paragraph, I mean well for you and I, I'm just passionate about magic and I figured feedback is better than nothing back. Experience is Truth. Tray
That was GREAT. I'm too scared to try PK touches 😂
@@Flactoid1 haha it’s one of my favourite routines! Always hits hard. Give it a whirl sometime! You might love it.
Such a beautiful effect, the only thing i can remember is you guessing number 8 and the octopus. Well performed!

@@mackinleys.delusions thanks my friend
Fantastic.
Thanks!
So much fun watching these.
Love the mind blown reactions!
Haha right?!
That’s wild bro!
It's not so amazing to someone who actually believes.
Yeah for sure. It’s just a confirmation of what they know to be true, as opposed to the performance being in conflict with what they know to be true if they’re non believers.
I had a weird experience where I performed some Amagram stuff on the typing Omegle, and the person on the other side believed that he could do remote viewing. He didn't really perceive it as a magical moment, until I revealed that I don't believe in psychic powers myself, and it was this revelation that caused his mind to struggle to process, because he thought what I did would be impossible without psychic powers. Very interesting interaction. Great performance here. How did you phrase your skull here to her?
That's really interesting! Yeah it's fascinating how when someone really subscribes to a psychic type belief system then mentalism is not as mindblowing as when they're not as big of believers. Thanks for the kind words on the performance. In this case I honestly just performed it as though I was psychic, as that's how I always perform. I pretend to be psychic. I think I told her I'm emulating psychic ability, which leaves some room for mystery, but I often just perform it as though it's real. I find that's the strongest and most interesting way to do mentalism.
Its the best and most direct acaan, you have to put work in but if you want to hit that berglas miracle then its worth it
I agree wholeheartedly. It’s the best handling I’ve ever come across.
Impressive!! It doesn’t make any sense…
Thank you!

Hi mate. Fellow Chan Canasta fan here (as you'd have no doubt guessed by my profile pic!) in England. You presented that so well - particularly as the boozed up spectator was finding it difficult to follow due procedure! So many performers never think ahead about the 'what if principle' - or in other words, what they are going to do when something doesn't go exactly to plan. The effect itself is VERY strong. I've performed it for many years myself. That said, I truly believe that Chan Canasta's direct form of Mentalism with cards, is the very best material ever released. Lest we forget that Chan Canasta literally worked around the world with nothing more than 2 packs of cards (in 8 Kings) and always BORROWED books, for his various book tests. That speaks volumes (no pun intended) for both the quality of his material, coupled with his skillful presentation. Indeed, what enabled his popularity is that he took chances and was sometimes wrong. This just added to his believability as being 'the real deal'. Have you studied Chan's other work? By all means, drop me an email to BarryAllenMagic (at sign) aol dot com if you require any further information. 👍🏻
Love your in depth comment on Chan, I need to investigate a little more of his work. I’ve played with his book test a bit and some of his psychological card experiments. He really was so far ahead of his time, and I love what he was able to to do with just a deck of cards and books. Also, his book of Oopses is interesting too! He really was a very fascinating performer.
