He disowned him on the spot and told him that he is fatherless. The father left in tears and was crying his way back home. This made the father a shut in and he started drinking and started regretting everything he had done

Okay, you see people do this like on old investigative shows where people investigate the crimes, figure it out, and instead of getting the police immediately they /stupidly/ confront the criminals directly and tip them off. Why? She's already been betraying her father for months and stolen a ton of money and done huge damage to his livelyhood, it's not something that can just be taken back or undone. Also that part at the end, where the cops are willing to just wait outside the room while they confront them and spread out the dirty laundry, does that even happen in real life or would they immediately just arrest her? Confronting criminals directly is just stupid as they'll be very emotional and desperate if caught and they could literally do anything to try to save themselves even violence.
