this is the second of a four-part subscriber special.
in this part, the backstory of suna's introduction to the miya family is revealed. after a devastating house fire that killed his parents, suna is left an orphan with only a harsh burn mark over his left eye to his name. he feels isolated from the rest of the children at his orphanage, as he is looked upon as special due to his intelligence.
one day, his orphanage holds a charity event, which nina-san happens to be in attendance of. enthralled by suna's giftedness, she takes him to her home, where he meets the rest of the miya family - including osamu, who promises to be suna's best friend and stick by his side for the rest of their lives.
in the present, suna is visiting osamu in prison. suna divulges that he misses osamu deeply, stating that he isn't sure how to go on while osamu pushes him to live without him. and, despite suna's stubbornness and determination to get his boyfriend to state otherwise, osamu admits to murdering sakusa.
after his emotional, brief meet with osamu, atsumu gives suna a ride home, though he stops by a small pond that was once a secret dating spot of suna and osamu's. suna has a startling conversation and interaction with atsumu that is very telling, yet all too perplexing.
