There is something call the "Puffing Law" in Colorado. It is unlawful to allow your car to idle while it is unattended. I know you can be sighted for this infraction in Denver, but you're talking about Montrose Colorado. Here the Police make up their own laws.
Never check my own channel. Only took 2 years to show appreciation for your comment. That's exactly why I videoed and posted it. Thank you. Did you see my other videos? Any you really didn't like? I plan to post more videos of local law enforcement but it will be boring for thrill seekers because our police are sheep themselves. So dumb and so respectful it's almost disgusting.
you cant steal the cars they have 3 different things to prevent it it is required in my department to lock the car turn on a function called secure idle and turn on a transmission lock
Ignorant cop leaves police car unattended and running! Is he giving it away?
You have enlightened me. I didn't think of those things. I did think of the smog, fuel waste, and possibility that someone could steal this car in less time than my video, and then what happens to your response time to an emergency when your tank idled to empty it a thief has your car?
Nathaniel Gray police vehicles are equipped with a safe idol feature that allows the vehicle to run without a key so it can’t be stolen. The reason for this is to keep the radio and the laptops running. If you turn the vehicle off, it will drain the battery. Another reason is climate control since the back of a police car can get very hot. Imagine being in the back in handcuffs with no AC running.
What was the point? Sometimes we have to keep our cars on, either for lights, the computer, or various other reasons. Still don't know why this video is up.
ammosimplycosts2much You don’t worry about someone stealing it?
@@phsycopiano It is a secure idle feature that allows the car to idle with the key out of the ignition
