Thank you for sharing this interesting topic that i also think bout it few times, i mostly agree with you- love isn't just a play thing yang bisa gonta ganti sana sini se-enaknya and heard or saying "ILY" can make a big assumption to us thinking is it really love? or other? but how do we find it in this mess world with untangled string of madness that you can find it almost in any corner of the street or knowing that is the actual LOVE. For me the definition of love is two souls collided to each other creating reaction's that can be beneficial to others and around them, in this case it's not 1+1=2 but instead 1+1=1 means that transcends separateness so that it's one at play as two, it's really not from attachment or need but from the full cup of ours, but of course yes we have needs but again it's not from there. I'm pretty aware too this days youth like us- lower or higher generation mostly their relationship based by needs (like you mentioned) well we already see that from few people like from our closes one- the beginning and the end. Most of the relationship fail because of "fall out of love" and my opinion is that the shock of love, the initial infatuation, is something that you fall out of, but at that point, it's a matter of choosing to continue. When the relationship is no longer about the initial thrill, there's room to grow together and grow as your own people. we're not joined at the hip all the time anymore, but we become a rock in each others lives, a sense of stability. We don't always fall out of love. Sometimes, we do, of course, but choosing each other after that initial thrill fades is what leads to a greater sense of companionship, love, and intimacy. And to think that people to ACTUALLY fail to love it come to many variable, kayak kita masih remaja yang labil, masih belum tau harus apa, masih membenci banyak hal, dan lain-lain yang membuat mereka belum mengerti tentang apa itu cinta dan harus ngapain dengan cinta itu sendiri. And they who broke off the relationship will talk shit bout their ex to other, especially when it's fresh hot from the oven. I think the reason why is to vent the emotion that we have to helps processing the reason's or thought's eventually they will understand it's bout compatibility. In my opinion the compatibility that we talking of is bout the level of understanding, rough example, you want to climb a mountain you want to go fully to the top but the other don't because they didn't see that meaning or reason why to climb a mount like you do or they see other mountain seems greener lol. I think to find love or someone to be love with is just keep search it and play smart, it's like when you play poker you dont know if the card on the table good for you but still you gotta keep playing and spend your time or money, but again play smart so you dont to lose yourself to it. Also i see people can be tired or feel useless when find someone romantically, of course when you tired you can take a break- what i mean is the person who see every chances that they have they just turn it down, like they quit every game. When people do that i believe they missing the lesson, and that lesson is to "how to be in relationship". And they can have excuse like "it'll be easy if you find the one" this isn't a Hallmark movie people grow into one, imagine having a perfect card in your hand and you lose the chances to win because you never know who to play. I've been on 2 dates before and it end because of lack understanding of love and i can see it can hurt me and my significant other, my strats for now is just to be friend if i have that kinda feeling or thoughts because being friend there's no attachment like romantic partner does to, or to put it short to have "people come and go" mentality. And if there a person there who i really want to be with i'll kindly ask "would you mind if i want know you better". Sorry for long paragraph lol, i have this thoughts on my mind quite sometime and i think this a good time for me to express it, but what do you think bout my statement and my opinion?
