I'm glad we have an easy non- conference start, I hope the coaching staff will take advantage of it by getting our QBs some good reps, Howard is our only QB with experience. Devin has some but he hasn't proven that he can stay healthy for a full game. But Buckeyes all the way.

Chip is extremely predictable. He will run the first two downs, pass on third. If the defense starts to load the box, he will get them moving side to side with screens and quick bubble passes. If the DB's start pressing to stop those, he will take shots downfield. The entire game will be a combo of those three to keep the defense on their heals.

I am a Buckeye fan and Howard concerns me. He had 9 Tds and 7 INTs in the first 6 games last year and a 61.5% compl pct. If he does that in the first 6 games this year, OSU will lose to both Iowa and Oregon. So he must be better than that. Maybe not a Heisman level of play, but he cannot be average. Buck fans heard the same thing last year with McCord, ie just needs to manage the game due to Henderson, Harrison Emeka etc, and the results were not good enough, even though as a passer he had significantly better stats than Howard.

Yes, that is true about WR, but it isn’t about starting for most big time WR. It’s NIL or does this program have the potential to win a natty & do they develop NFL WR. With the ability to transfer you don’t worry about starting as long as your in the rotation & if it don’t work out you can transfer to either another big time program or lesser smaller program. That’s why you see all 5 star & most 4 star WR go to OSU, UGA, Oregon, Alabama, USC, Texas etc. because if it was about starting any one of these top receivers, go play for Akron and light it up that ain’t what it is all about they want title rings i.e conference & possibly natty.

Why on earth would there be a 2 QB system?? It's not likely that Howard struggles that bad, and even if he does, they are not going to go back and forth series to series from one QB to another. Several bizarre takes and topics in the discussion.

Why was the guy talking about Hartline leaving? I mean a lot of things are possible, and I'm a realist, but I doubt that OSU won't give him a chance to be an OC. He could co-OC with Kelly, or maybe Kelly will retire soon, and other schools are not going to "double his salary" just to be a WR coach. I'm not one of the fanboys types who only wants to listen to sunshine pumping hype, but what is the sense in late august when a season is about to start to talk about coaches leaving? I hate when ignorant people go on the radio/podcasts. OSU isn’t taking a page out of Michigan’s schedule. The schedules are made years in advance. Recent home and home series have been with Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Oregon. Future home and home series include Texas, Georgia, and Alabama. Every now and then it’s tough to fit into the 10 or so non-conference opponents schedule against teams of equitable talent.

Tennessee is out recruiting Ohio state in the trenches. I gradated from OSU. The guys on here who are joking about them not playing for championships are delusional. Look at the recruits. They are doing okay at QB and receiver but as good as anyone in the trenches. They are not grabbing the back end defensive guys . If they do the poking fun at Tennessee will end . They are a threat to start picking off the receivers we are grabbing and defensive backs as well.

I think you need to look at his parents and the people who influence him. Not all 17/ 18 year old kids lack direction. His family is solid. He is mature for his age. Where ever he commits he will stay and then move to the NFL. He is a rare young man, solid and will honor his commitment and not jump around
