This is by far the easiest and best way to learn Turkish phrases for tourists. Thank you so much I wish I can learn more from you as I'm coming to Türkiye for 1 month end Sept
Glad it was helpful! We have some other pages here with common phrases: turkeytravelplanner.com/details/LanguageGuide/100words_lessons/100Words_01.html
V.good info
Thanks for infos
Thank you for the great explanation.
So its a private transfer or a private taxi (yellow color)ride whats the difference ?
It is a private transfer. A private transfer is booked in advance. You will meet your driver who will be holding a sign with your name and waiting for you to arrive. Another benefit of taking a private transfer is that you have already paid a fixed price.
Amazing
Amazing music in this video , I loved it

That man, not only THE BEST salesman but also an amazing father!! He’s always been an amazing storyteller, i remember admiring his knowledge (& him in general) as a little girl. I wanted to be as cool as him. Also, he LOVES what he does, always giving us little anecdotes and stories about his passion. To this day, i am his #1 Fan! Love him to the moon and back ❤
I live in the USA and when I try to do it, it tells me that I'm exempt.
Yes the law was recently changed so Americans can enter visa free now
It's natural, in India Jwala Ji temple (himachal) you can see
Reading the Canadian Government page is very alarming. Is has really spooked me as I have a flight booked in May. Now I’m scared for something to happen to me :( I really appreciate your content though, it has made me a feel a little better!
I am Turkish who lived in Canada for six years and I can’t tell you that Canada was always like this towards Turkiye. Turkiye is very safe place. I would say even safer than most part of Europe and US. Bad people exist everywhere so of course, you shouldn’t be trusting everyone. however, it’s very well protected country I assure you.
People are saying it can happen anytime
What about the danger of an earthquake in Istanbul?
Hello, yes, they have said that for many years. I think similar to California and waiting for "the big one". My advice would be to stay in a hotel or newer apartment that was built within the last ~20 years. The newer buildings have updated building codes for greater safety against earthquakes.
going on the US Travel Gov website this kind of scared us even though we only have a 12 hour layover and are not leaving the airport.
Yes, the travel advisories tend to be more conservative but I think you shouldn't worry about the airport. Both IST and SAW are some of the busiest airports in the world and many passengers pass through the airports each day without incident.
Did you already fly there, how was your experience? Our gov website scared me a lot too.
@@emilyann1122 Hey, yes I've flown through both airports many times and have never had any problems. They are both very safe, clean, and some of my favorite airports to fly through, especially IST. There's really nothing to worry about. As a woman I have never encountered anything that made me feel unsafe while traveling through these airports, and have traveled throughout a lot of Turkey, as well as have lived here for the past 5 years.
Hello
good point
I love Raki! My vote goes to Beylerbeyi 🙌❤️

❤❤your kontakt Nr please I want to buy a Turkish carpet
Hi, I actually wish to travel to Turkey as a tourist from India, but I'm really skeptical due to the two things I'm listening to: 1) Istanbul Santa Maria church attack on 28th Jan 2024. Two people were killed. Two men with ties to Russia and Tajikistan have been arrested though. 2) Turkey launches air attacks against Kurdish rebels in Iraq and Syria. I'm really confused! Please help.
Hello, Sorry to hear you are feeling confused. As with most countries these days, incidents of violence can occur. As an American, I personally feel much safer in Turkey than I do in the US or even when traveling in major European cities. Random attacks are relatively rare in Turkey and typically don't occur in tourist destinations. The air strikes are also very far from any of the places you might go as a tourist. The best thing to do is to stay alert and follow safety guidance issued by the government. We have more info on our safety page that may help you make the best choice for yourself: turkeytravelplanner.com/details/Safety/should_i_go.html
@@turkeytravelplanning thanks, this was helpful. Thanks again for detailed reply.
Saw few hostagees and open fire news in turkey, will you still say that it is safe to travel there
Yes, I still feel Turkey is generally a safe place to visit. You can read more on our site: turkeytravelplanner.com/details/Safety/should_i_go.html
Very good introduction. I would add "var" and "yok" which refer to the existence or absence of something, and in many situations are used instead of "evet" and "hayir"
Great video and alsways so chill to watch!! Crunchy poğaça with dill is definitely the best :)
Does this coffee has a special name? like in Portugal they have these small coffee called bica, and in Sweden a sort like the same coffee ist called fika. In the Netherlands were I life they don't have a special coffee just normal coffee haha.
You mean the prepared coffee? It's just called Turkish coffee (Türk kahvesi). In terms of the actual coffee beans that are used you can use any coffee you like. One popular brand is Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi. www.mehmetefendi.com/urunler/turk-kahvesi Because Turkish coffee isn't filtered, there are sediments left in the bottom of the cup which are also sometimes used for fortunetelling.
Very nice video. Got hungry while watching. My favorites? Definitely crunchy pogaca and all kinds of boreks.
Oooh I can feel the warm atmosphere! Love it.❤
