Someone I know has a sister who had this disease. She was 26 and she died from it. Awful… Parents have to take research into their own hands. The truth is that big pharma doesn’t want to invest in a cure because they won’t make money from it. That and big pharma actively works against finding cures and prefers to find medicines to help manage diseases while people stay sick. People are worth more money to them if they’re alive, sick and medicated forever than if they’re cured and un-medicated. Remember, big pharma are the same people who pushed OxyContin as a solution for CHRONIC pain. They told doctors to tell people to take it every day, forever. When faced with the evidence of Oxy being very bad for people, they ignored it and kept pushing it. FDA and AMA leadership are executives and investors in pharmaceutical companies. I have been involved with friends with ms and epilepsy the drugs used for one condition is also used for another, mainly to control the symptoms and not the condition.
