70mai Bug: Cannot connect to dash cam's WI-Fi hotspot
I have problems to connect to my dash cam.
My Device: iPhone 7, iOS 14.6
Location permission for 70Mai App is granted
I have completed the steps as described in the app. However, all this was not successful:
1. Start App
2. Click "Add Device"
3. Select "70 Mai Dash Cam Pro Plus+" in the List
4. Make Sure the Wi-Fi Hotspot is activated on the Dash Cam
5. Connect the smartphone to the Wi-Fi Hotspot
6. Return to 70Mai App
I tried it a couple of times, but I still get this error: Not connected to dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot.
Is this a known issue?
Is this problem already being worked on?
What can I do to connect the device to my smartphone?

Same issue with me 2024
I bought this silly dashcam if I connect its hotspot via mobile phone, my car play cant using phone internet 😂 silly product. I’m disappointed. dashcam should connect to iphone’s hotspot but this stupid device creating its own hotspot and says “lets connect me” silly stupid awkard bad device !!!
Iphone 14pro max, same issue 😢
I had to unpair the device and then do it again and this time select connect without internet at all times...then it worked

Hello, my issue wasn't resolved with my old device ( iPhone 7, iOS 14.6). In the meantime I switched to an iPhone 12 and since then I can connect the app to my phone. I messaged 70mai and they told me to follow these steps: 1. unbound the cam with your app and rebound again. 2. turn off the phone wifi and then restart your phone and then turn on the wifi again 3.clear off the wifi list of your phone then try again . 4. make video to show the problem if still is the same. Since I don't have my old phone anymore, maybe someone with the same issue can try the steps and tell us if it works.

I got the same problem. make sure you select the correct model in the add device list, maybe some country call them in various names.
Thanks, I tried this and it worked for me on my A800s. Note: When adding dash cam in app, you’ll see a page with generic categories of devices (dash cam with screen, without screen…). There’s a button in the upper right (iOS app) when clicked, will allow you to select your specific model.
Same issue but with samsung s9 opens while with iphone 11 pro it doesnt open

@@nisuputamadre4730 in ios14.0 and up go at settings and turn on location(while using,always on etc) and turn on local network plus bluetooth and location services and wifi as always
