let me play devils advocate. me being an underperforming Asian i cannot emphasize how much pressure asian parents place on their kids to go to columbia. emily was probably being groomed to go to one of these fancy colleges even though she didnt want to. asian parents gaslight you into making it think that its your dream and they want you to go because its fucking clout for them. i could have went to a state college and probably would have been happier, but because of pressure i went a college like columbia and fucking struggled. Do not forget it was HIGHLY likely she was pressured into going to this university and now they want her to pay them back, its absurd. i dont think she should pay because i know they get flex on to their friends that she went to columbia.

I kinda bet that the college degree she has wasn't even her choice in the first place. Asian parents tend to pressure there children to study certain fields to become successful. A child is not an investment, sure it is nice if the child becomes rich and treats you well, but first of all the street goes both ways and second of all it should never be excepted of your child.

I used to help people a lot "lending" money out and never getting it back so I stopped and thought maybe I should only do this with family. Then lent both my sisters over a grand and one was told to not worry about paying back and she lied saying she had to pay me back which was to cover up other spending and the other straight up "forgot" I ever lent her money.

Great video, I think the biggest difference here is that you love your parents and want to show your appreciation by giving them a comfortable life if you had the financial resources. I grew up in Los Angeles in the hood and we were around every dr*g you can think of. They call these flowers h*ll Bells. I would never touch them but I've watched friends trip hard off them. Probably some of the worst hallucinations I've ever seen. Once my buddy was trying to convince me I was in his uncle's house and I had no business being there. He kept telling me to stop going through his uncle stuff. (It was my house.)😂 I also had a buddy with A straight face tried to tell me my dog's jump him earlier in the day.
