It's a pity they didn't offer you a meal from business class, especially since all the leftover, unserved meals usually end up being thrown away, such a third class mentality of crew/airline. Even if it’s a free upgrade, just politely decline their upgrade offer and say No, Thank you.

the food is good

Kuala Airport is probably the worst airport I have ever flown from 50ft from the gate there was a little shop selling drinks so I thought I'd get one for the 14hr flight. Only to be told that I couldn't take it on the plane by security. But they never asked about the other 2 I had in my bag only the one they saw me buy and holding in my hand. I swear it was a scam between the shop and security

I didn't know you purchased the tickets with insurance or not. If this happen you can bring this things up. Usually if long flight I will take the flight insurance with tickets. Just to ease my mind if this happen.

Food and beverages served on malaysia airlines is fairly good but the Bun is a nightmare. I enjoyed the Bun served on Turkish airline
