I've been machining for 20 years as of 2023 and have done nothing else but Machining. I teach the same Machining course that I took in High School but I've made a lot of major improvements to the curriculum. I enjoy making videos to help others learn, and I like to make videos that challenge my videography skills.

That's less than 300 pounds
Haha I'm working on it!
@@aaronrunk4209 Back when I used to lift in the early 2000s I struggled to get past 275 and now I'm sure it was mental block but I started with 225 Then I got to 17 reps and week after week I added 5 pounds per week and did as many as I could till max and obviously you may rep less but I kept up the work. Eventually I got to 315 and could do 3 reps. Odd program but it got me over the hump. I should have went back to 250 pounds and started over.. like a ratchet to make more progress. Many don't like going to failure I didn't go to complete failure but pretty close.
@CRUSHFACTORPC that's amazing. I'm definitely going slow, I've been working out for 3 years, but the 15 years prior to that, I was living at 285 lbs, and that was not good for my muscles or bones. Fingers crossed, I'll make to 300 because that's quite the accomplishment.
@@aaronrunk4209 Well if you make small progress steadily with out over reach you will get there. BUT you have to also work on your pull exercises (Back) and latts as when you use heavier weights those will help stabilize you on the bench

Good video, wish it was in metric the imperial measurements system so confusing even i know that one inch is 25.4 mm but hard to follow up with it
I hear you because when I see videos in metric, it's difficult for me to follow. I still appreciate you watching!
I know what you’re binging right now. 😂😂😂
😄
Whew ! That’s taking it off !
Question if you run a speed of 70 and finish look bad can you increase it to 140 basically double the speed and not cross thread the parts .
Yes, you can because your starting point of entry does not change. The same goes for threading on a manual lathe. The only way that's going to change is if you change the feed rate on the g76 line, move in your work offset or unclamp, and rotate the part. I hope this helps and thanks for watching

When I follow your steps after I cycle power the parameter revert back to how they start. How do I get the parameter change to stay?
So I had this happen on my Doosan 220 lathe. However, it did reset the home locations correctly, and when I sent the machine home, it did everything correctly as well. I wasn't sure why it was doing this, but it did home correctly. some machines may have something in the ladder that reverts back to zero. I would check to see if it does go home to the correct locations and if it's just making it a zero instead of keeping it a one I would try running a simple program and then having it go to g28 home and g53 home and make sure that it goes to the right location both times. Thanks for watching, i hope this helps
@@aaronrunk4209 Thank you I will be sure to check the home positions, only probably now is I cant get the parameter enable alarm to clear, I tried holding reset and cancel as you did and nothing happened. I cant move out of MDI to test anything because of this.
@@spencerlamp4887 get rid of your perimeter I enable go ahead and change your one back to a 0 on the perimeter right enable and see if that lets you check your positions
@@aaronrunk4209 I had already changed it back but I forgot to power cycle it again, i went and checked the parameter again one more time and I noticed that APC is all 0 now, and APZ remained all 1. Is this normal?
@spencerlamp4887 I want to say the last time I changed out the batteries on my emco machine, it did that, but both are fanuc, so it might be based on the series of fanuc.
im really not so sure i agree with this, if you watch your tool its flexing while drilling after you offset that .030" so now when you drill it will be drilling off center. I think its always best practice to center X up on the axis of the tool regardless of the final dia. use a boring bar to get a your final ID correct.
I believe you're more right than you think because I have a feeling after noticing what you saw. that the turret itself may be out of alignment in Y, which may be causing it to deflect down. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
once it's indicated type X0.0 then press "MEASURE".....
just type X1.01 press "MEASURE"
Haven't done a setup on this machine since making the video. Glad I did!
Hi, I am trying to get the load monitor work in OPS U100 L controllers , which is very similar to this as it looks, however i can not find where the load values installed after teaching mode, could you please help me with this
I'll have to do some more looking on this however when it comes to the teaching mode it sounds more like a mazak but if you are wanting to make sure that your work offsets are in the right locations you could go into MDI and send it to a known location to see if it has been set correctly. I will say your values are on the screen somewhere it's just kind of hard to find them on these older machines
Couldn't you just have a regular PC or laptop plugged into the machine and have a better GUI through an app on the PC? This seems clunky, but I'm sure there are reasons why it's done this way. Maybe newer machines have a PC interface?
Sorry for the late response, and yes, these machines have ethernet cables that can be plugged into computers and then certain software such as Predator DNC that can be used to drip feed or transfer programs directly into the machine. there's also ways of doing this via Bluetooth, which is becoming very popular.
I was part of skillsusa back in 05
That's awesome! What did you compete in?
Manual lathe, manual mill, inspection, and bench .
@kevbot5.0keller66 nice! Are you still machining? I took Machining back in 03-05, but I wasn't good enough to make it passed regionals 😅 but I did go for customer service. Here in a couple weeks, I have a short of the final product that looks pretty cool. You'll like it if you're from Oklahoma
I'm still machining now. I set up 4th and 5th axis mills and running the floor at a small shop. We do aerospace. My buddy ended up going to nationals that year and won. Carheart and Starrett hooked him up pretty good with stuff.
My first machining job I had I almost called it quits. I ended up finding a different shop and have loved it ever since.
👍
Apz 1 nhi ho raha hai
what program are you using to simulate the haas control? that'd be so useful for me so i wouldn't need to run back and forth with a usb to the lathe, especially when someone else is using it
The software is a replica of a Haas simulator platform, but unfortunately, I don't have a way of exporting the software since it was already on the computers when I started. If you can, look me up on Facebook and message me.
upgrade the cooling for it
I think it would be cool if I got some Vasco 6000 on there
Chattering bad
If I'm going to keep it there I'm going to have to add two more flutes to the tool or go with carbide or maybe even possibly a shorter length of cut
I hear game show music evert time I can't see or hear the endmill. Bob: Welcome back to Crowd: DO I STILL HAVE A TOOL. Bob: now you still have cycle time. You can get another one out of the drawer. Me: No Bob, I didn't hear it snap I think I'm still in there. Bob: okay. If you had coolant on it could have made it through. Coolant is very important for running fast. Some tools only need air, but for cuts like this you have to make sure you’re using the proper endmill.
Yep, if I was running carbide, I would have had more luck. But coolant is the answer ua-cam.com/video/dGt4Tia4Jxk/v-deo.htmlsi=iQLPqBdS5BypT0Q0

Remember that this video is for those who have never worked this model of machine. Watching this video and following it helps the manufacturing industry because those learning will be safer when setting up parts. I have a lather machine model 5060. Now tool magazine is jamed. How to turn tool magazines. Thanks
So when my machine jams up, it's because I command a tool change without a g0 for Rapid motion. which is kind of weird because it's only on this machine and on this model. what I normally do is I go into a manual mode, and I jog it manually one rotation to the next tool, and it fixes my problem on my machine. @@azbrannon That' great to hear that your expanding your skills. I have lots of hand programming videos, and several setup videos on different types of machines. I really hope they help and good luck!
I cant see the notes for m97 like m98. your in front of it
