Sweet Briar Farm
United States
Приєднався 5 гру 2020
We are the biggest little farm in Central Northern Michigan. We farm every square inch of our 6 acres. Producers of seasonal produce, raw honey, and livestock. Our livestock include Dexter Cattle, a Jersey Cow, Registered Dairy goats, and Heritage Pigs.
The heart of our farm now revolves around our Dexter cattle. If you get one you will want more. Our goal for our cattle is to breed quality offspring with A2/A2 milk genetics and polled. We intend to sell halter and lead broke cattle to fellow homesteaders, to be utilized as family milk cows and quality bull calves to be used as herd sires.
Our registered Dairy goats include Nubians and Nigerian Dwarfs.

How does Nunian milk taste and smell ?
2 gallons of milk produced one pint of cream. Pour water that is 140-150 degrees through machine first. Heat milk to 100 degrees. Always take apart machine while running. We have had one for years but I didn't know a few of these things. Thank you, so try the new tips out!
That is not a man in a gorilla suit ok
why wait till 2 years to butcher? why not closer to 18 months old?
Sale barn?
Can you guys reupload the calf grafting video please
These chicks are trouble makers, why can't they just hold it stable 😂

Thank you! I appreciate you
Fake 100 percent 😂😂
Did you separate it when it was cold or fresh out of the cow?
This was goat milk. It was cold. Had to warm it up
What type of oil does it uses ?
Not sure I would have to look at the manual. But it came with it.
Great Video thanks for making these
Try durocs or poll China's
We started with 2 pet high quality Nubians for mesquite tree control. A pregnant show pygmy dropped in my lap & now we have 3 due over the next couple of months with two more does being bred in April Last year I found two dn in milk for $100 each. I wanted the milk. I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with larger goats. They certainly wouldn't win any contests, but they each gave me around a half a gallon of milk each milking. So now both of those are due over the next couple of months. I then decided I wanted more milk and bought a papered pregnant Nubian. Both sides of her lineage have adga lifetime granted grand championship status for winning so many shows. She gave us a doeling and a buckling the other day. We are keeping both, but I'm still looking for another decent buck to breed her in the future. I'm looking forward to having milk again. It's all about the milk!!
Human in monkey suit
homesteading since 2009! So you've been at it for a good amount of time. Congrats!
Don't be mislead people, Tams have beautiful well marbelled meat. There is plenty of Lard to make quality pork. These are not Lean pigs they are Long. They have 2 to 4 extra ribs.
O man we love the Berkshire the very best I really like them
WHO R U TRYN TO KID⁉️⁉️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do as i say not as i do!!!😂
😄
That thing is HUUUUGGGGEEEEE! LOL.
Never even heard of such a thing. Would love one even though in OK only need it a few weeks a year probably. Current cold snap has me hating our little chimney insert only hold 2 modest sized logs, lots of babying it to keep the house to temp.
They are expensive to buy so probably not worth it for a few weeks a year. I have 12k in my system but that was 11 yrs ago.
Soooo cute ❤
Yeah, sure you have. GO AWAY with your 💩 channel.
Not real ........
OMG *sights* great fake news🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow! Beautiful video and extremely handsome bull calf!
😂😂
Why 2 years to finish out a dexter? . Is that because of just a hay ration?. I finish Angus out in 13 months on silage and grain. Would a dexter finish on that timeliness on the same ration?
We grass feed and finish Dexter beef. They are not a fast production animal. Feeding silage would fatten them up faster but not by much. The benefit is dexters consume far less feed and are more efficient at converting grass to protein and fat.
wow that bull sounds like a donkey!
We've been raising goats for about 35 yrs. Mostly Nubian but over the past few years we're developing our own line of mini-Nubian. I've found Nubians are far more needful of medications and parasite control while Nigerian seem to be way more resilient. We're early on making any full evaluation but hoping for good feed conversion with resilient health.
What does he do first? Not climb out of the 💩 but checks his hat! Lol. Glad you're okay!
I don't know much about cattle but wouldn't it be hard for a small heifer to give birth to a calf that from a much bigger bull?

@@SweetBriarFarmMichigan OK, just curious, thanks
Good job guys.
it's a men world !!
Hello, nice video! Thanks for sharing! Might I ask, why did they have you drop to a smaller tire size? Looks like you already had 12-16.5 tires... (same as me on my 863), I am debating on getting these or the Camso's... its just hard for me to justify paying $4k for 95% conveyer belts.... what are your thoughts?
The tires I had were fine on their own but not stock. So the smaller tires were needed otherwise the track system would not fit since the clearance between the tire and the side wall was reduced with the larger tire. I am not familiar with camsos. I sold that machine in fall of 23 and bought a t300. Would I buy the track system again? I think so.
LOL!!!
Ouch 😂
Crossing Berkshires off my list?
What’s up with this hair? I feel like I can use this 😊
Dang you old😂😂
