NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover took a selfie with the Ingenuity helicopter, seen here about 13 feet (3.9 meters) from the rover in this image. Perseverance’s selfie with Ingenuity is made up of 62 individual images stitched together once they are sent back to Earth.

    This is a great example of how the ENGINEERING METHOD (or ENGINEERING DESIGN PROCESS) works; you design and build PROTOTYPES and with each one you analyze what work (and what didn't!0 to then improve on it on the next one (until you find the OPTIMAL SOLUTION!).

Also think of how much the world was improved (long-term) by the simple discovery of the Americas. Technology, food, animals, communication. The rate of advancement of our species increases by the understanding of what else is out there. Understanding space will help improve life here too

    So here`s the deal. SN 12-14 were designed on paper, but scrapped because there was a new and better model (SN15). The resources needed to build the 3 rockets have now been allocated to SN15.

    Why go into all the history of Starship, when the question referrs to a specific model range? You take up 80% of the time to get to a specific question and then answering it with a rather obvious: "cuz dey goot skrappt, oy!"
