The fact that Tommy wrote two separate perspectives using the same words to portray it shows the level of wordplay this man has. Even the N bomb at the beginning could have been directed toward either party. Just goes to show, if you take race, creed, job ect out of the equasion, it's a death that should have been prevented.

As a cop, poor choice in writing. Never liked Bad Wolves to begin with. I only tolerated Zombie but that's where it stops. I don't agree with alot of what they but hey, it's their right to be able to do it and it's my right to choose not buy their stuff. For the record, social issues in songs never ends well. Just my 2 cents

There are people that are becoming offended from this song. You all aren't paying attention to the bigger picture. It's about both sides being at fault and pointing fingers at each other. If you're offended, you're a part of the problem that this very song is discussing. Remember how kids argue and try to say, "He hit me!" "No, he hit me first!" It doesn't work. Nothing gets solved peacefully. The real question is, "Why are you hitting each other in the first place?"

I get some people get offended about the first side (innocents killed by officers) and some get offended by the other (innocent officers slain in the line of duty). But music is all about sending a message. I believe that Bad Wolves were trying to say that NOT talking about this issue will only resort to more violence. We need to stop pointing fingers, and start finding solutions for both sides.

Where did you get these lyrics from? I keep seeing lyric sheets posted all over the goddamn place and none of them seem 100%.

The issue with this song, is quite simply how unclear/back and forth it is. He's doing the lyrics quickly, and swapping the situations, blurring them between the two. As this is good as a metaphor, as there are issues on both sides, it's REALLY easy to pick and choose what you want to hear, rather than the song actually making a point. Seems like blurred virtue signaling for both sides, more so than actually bringing light to the actual issues both sides face.
