Yooo i main chaos, pretty tough to get the hang of things but after you clear the high skill floor you can definetly autopilot stuff like with any other character, and hes sooo fun (im also reading dandadan rn and YES ITS PEAK)

His gunshot is something known as negative edge, it shoots when you release the button, not when you press it, as soon as you enter steady aim, start holding down heavy slash and release as soon as the reticle appears, then immediately reload cancel, from there you can learn how to freestyle his combo's mid match by adding reload cancel's to your muscle memory.

One thing to note. That down down Squ (2,2,P) you can just press the down input once. Saving your fingers from stress and better execution. It's a better cancel for the combo route. (I don't use 214 S for combos a lot because theyre obviously so easy to drop)

As someone who used to main HC until Asuka came out, it's always a little funny to watch the people go through the HC beginner experience. These characters are hard, but that alongside what they can do are what make me love playing them. Once you get it down, they can be some of the most fun characters to play imo.

NGL those combos look both easy and pretty bad. The first one would be fine on air hit, but as presented you're never going to go for a point blank DP with dash momentum, and on air hit you're going to need to microdash the c.S to pick it up. The rest are massive wastes of meter and burst where you'd be better off routing without wallbreak into corner oki or going with a simpler route into super. If you actually want to find a difficult route, find something that starts CH c.S > 5[D], 66 f.S. Those should be optimal off CH c.S and the window for microdash f.S after 5[D] is tight. Another tricky link is picking up a juggle with a dashing 2H, though there aren't many of those this patch with the changes to how grounded Chave DP launches. I did put something together off a post-throw fuzzy overhead that uses a dash 2H juggle still at combo 254106. You could also look for a route that needs a kara super to wallbreak

Honestly, that opening double beam combo you showed isnt really that big of a change, they just removed the dc on rekka 2 so the combo looks wack, but double beam is a classic
