    15:56 15:41 Hello Rico. First let me thank you for giving me the hints to fabricate my own LED set of CH boards. Been thinking of it for a while now. I put my own spin on certain things but appreciated your insight. I live in Portugal but grew up in louisiana so I know the game and have introduced it to many here. Thinking of starting a CH club actually. Anyway, I am 90% through the build but dreading the final epoxy poor as I do not want to destroy the boards by overflowing the resin. I am sure I will work out OK. Not sure if I can, but will upload a few pictures of my project. I will use white pearl epoxy to complete the red, white and blue colours as I wanted to respect the flag and the origin of the game. I Hope I have done it justice. 15:41

      Hi hansrichardtjensen4619, thanks you for watching the video and thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated! The most important thing BEFORE pouring the resin is to make sure the top surface is LEVEL from top to bottom and side to side. This will almost eliminate over pour. Just pour slowly, and pour it just below the top surface then add more if needed.. easier to add than to remove. I put out a 2nd video using a new resin that has a LONGER work time. Here is the video link. ua-cam.com/video/qdiI1hICoWw/v-deo.html I only use this resin now. Im always learning and changing my process. Quick question, first off,amazingly done video! I promise I am NOT trying to sound like a keyboard knowitall! I am simply asking...are there any places where the bags snag or get caught on the resin channels? Since you don't over-fill the channels, did that create any problem when a bag hits the board? Thanks again, amazing job!

      Hi Postskeetclarity. thanks for watching and yes..you are right... if a repair is needed..you are pretty much out of luck to make a repair since the LEDs are in resin. thats why it is soo important to test test test...and make sure your solder connection are good. Hi Pat, Thanks for watching and thank you for your question. The LED that i used in this video will NOT light up when the bag hits the board. These LED were connected to to a arduino and it was programmed to light up when vibration is detected on the surface. This video ua-cam.com/video/Dxkv4CdcfWs/v-deo.html uses an LED strip that detects sound and the LED will light up when the bag makes a sound by hitting the board. I ended up routing a second channel under the epoxy for the LED strip, and then I sandwiched it with another thin piece of plywood, screwed to the first piece. Would you please add a link to the gauge on your Etsy page? I would love to use it in my middle school Design and Engineering classes. Thank you.

    Interesting... still thinking about buying a laser. Is the external compressor recommended by the manufacturer or are you just wanting to extend the lifetime of the internal one?

      Hello HP, The external compressor is not recommended but encouraged. If you look at my video berfore this one... it will show you why you should install one. the external compressor will blow higher pressure (25psi) over your cut piece virtually eliminating scarring, charring and burning on the top surface of your material. This will eliminate the need to mask your material. Masking takes time and money. so in the long run you will make it all back@ thanks for watching... Rico

    Really appreciate the video. here’s a question: I recently got a glow forge and when doing slate coasters, I have also used a piece of paper, but the designs seem to come out off center. What would be your suggestion to fix that?

    • @ricohernandez2394
      @ricohernandez2394 3 місяці тому

      Hi Heather... Thanks for watching and thanks for the question! Since I just eyeballed the center of my coaster you do stand a chance of it being a little off center. However if you want to insure that your design is centered on the coaster I recommend making a jig out of MDF, this will insure its centered. Since the design will be be part of the jig design. When you place your coaster in the jig your design will always be centered. Since i only made four... i didn't feel a need for a jig. :) I hope this helps! Have a great day! Rico

    I have a metal shed I put a vent on each end but no fans. I have an issue with mildew collecting in the shed and it gets extremely cold and hot in there here in GA. Do you think some fans added to the vents would help after I get it all cleaned up?
