DIY Shutters By The Refinery: A Must-have Product Review!
Переглядів 103Місяць тому
Shutters offer a custom window treatment tailored to fit your window's shape, size, and interior style, with countless ways to personalize them. #theparentalpad isn't a straightforward renovation with prefab slim walls. None of the windows have any recess, so I initially thought shutters wouldn't work. However, the team at Refinery suggested an outside mount. My parents, who prefer to avoid whi...

AD We were like kids on Christmas morning, watching the team work their magic. They spent the whole day installing our new HRV Airsense Essential System and the Vortex Extractor Fans for our bathrooms. This home ventilation system is proven to reduce moisture and prevent mould - and as you can see, we seriously need that to happen in our home.

Can you turn the music up a bit louder please 😂
Can you use the mat for yoga / stretches…..is the surface non slip with and without socks.
Use a water level. (hose with water in it) reference level and then determine fall rate to outlet.

Is that aluminum or metal gate ? Thanks Edit it’s obvious aluminum. Thanks for uploading the video to give basic general info on to build one
Probably shouldn't have those rollers on a wooden post.. or the catchers and stops on wood posts/fence either. The conduit for the cable should not have been cut flush with the ground to prevent water seeping in and should also have been sealed with silicon at least.
Probably should put some insulation in that ceiling first!
Did you have to iron or use a steamer on your Relax mat before using?
Gate to high off the track, wheels should be fitted internally to stop wheel's causing injury to children. You need safety edges on all sheer pionts and safety edges plus a force test for trapping danger.
you guys copied mitre 10 step by step and got the same things wrong... big yikes!
LOL, I love the part where she says "And because its PVC it wont rust!" Very true, BUT, the screws might. 304 Stainless steel screws will last a lot longer and are not much more in price. 314 or 316 Marine grade SS screws if you want to be really pedantic. You dont soon get those rusty brown streaks on your piping or house. Experts! 😵💫
Good info presented in a video with the background audio turned up too loud. This music is unnecessary and detracts from your good information!
How level does the concrete needs to be?
Hey guys just a note you should use Stainless Steel screws on all of the clips due to the clips being outside.
You make it looks easy. Comfort and security in one short video.
This is how you make video nice and simple no babbling
1:26 if that cable goes into that motor as it is going into that base, it is non compliant with electrical regulations. Cant have exposed tps below 1.8m.
WHat a great amount of information, in such a short video> YAY!
Thank you so much for reviewing our Topper and Relax Mat! We are so glad you love them ❤
Can't wait to see your updates, you both have worked so hard.

Awesome!!
Exciting!!
I love it
Nice video. Just wondering what’s the brand of hand wash on the bathroom vanity?
It's from Roberston Bathroomware. www.robertson.co.nz/products/accessories/liquid-soap-dispenser/wash-hand-and-body-wash
Another question.. so if i had 3 or 4 10 metre runs with corners in between and a dropper at one end, wouldnt the dropper be quite low as the 5mm of fall every 10mm requires? I always thought putting a fall in would make the spouting look un level and crooked.
Well you could put them level and then they will look good but not work ::
@@goatofpower yea im of two minds over the fall issue. Ive spoken to many that say as longs as the runs are about 10 metres or less before a dropper, then the water will find its own level and equalise over the run span. Just have to be sure at the very least the water is not running the wrong way if trying to keep the spouting level. At the moment when i bracket and install spouting in a section, il run some water down and see what it does. I guess thats the ultimate test.
@@goatofpower I prefer to run a chalk line as a reference point, it's what works for me, after using a string line and level, and other methods and getting the fall wrong. If I can, I try and exceed the required fall. From ground level, you would have to have a pretty sharp eye to detect a 5mm drop.
This video glossed over the most difficult part: how to ensure a fall. First you need to reference a level line. This is challenging, you need either a laser level or a string line with a spirit level, which is tricky to get right over long distances. Then for every metre of run drop one end by at least 0.5mm (more pragmatically, I go for a mm).
Yes the fall. Ive tried a chalk line but didnt work to well for me so using old fashioned string line then putting a 1200mm level carefully against it to determine the level. I think its classic case of getting it down pat with trial and error at the start then im away with my own method. So far so good.
I used woodglut instructions for this and I already did it :)
I like your video

Hi, do you do installation in Rotorua? If so, what are the charges for installing?
Thanks for sharing. Can i ask it is a Iron gate or plastic gate?
Iron gate!
I have a question..im about to do a few repairs on Marley Classic guttering. It is said not to cement expansion joiners.. how then does it not leak from this place? Thnx.
I'm woundering the same thing did you figure it out?
I think it does leak slightly. They used to have rubber seals on them, but that was discontinued because they caused more problems than they solved. I think your expansion joiners should generally be at high points, so the water is mostly running alway from them.
@@snowreaper4953 in the end i found i didnt have to use expansion joiners because my runs went long enough to require them.
@@HellBoundsOnMyTrail I recently got an expansion joiner and there is a crucial detail on its install leaflet, that I haven’t seen on any of Marleys other docs. That is, that if you have a run of spouting without any expansion outlet then you need an expansion joiner if the run is more than 4m! Up til I saw that I thought they only required it for 12m runs, but turns out this is only when there are also expansion outlets
Having just got one of these, it seems to still have a rubber seal. At least the install leaflet says it does and I can’t visually see a gap.
"HOW TO install an automated gate" - basically in this video I don't see that how-to, all you can see is 2 guys placing a prefabricated gate on a rail and that's it for the automation get an electrician :)
Maybe it’s that easy?
speaking of quality exposed electrical wires (230 volts) garbage motor and gate hardware.
and your suggestion? Or are you just hating?
Yeah, a bit amateur. At the very least it should be chased under the motor base and concreted over.
No just facts. The gate operator is crap. I am a Profesional gate installer fir over 25 years experience. That gate system won't last.
Love all those earthy tones
such an underrated channel. You guys deserve much more views and subscribers, all the best for 2020!!!!!!!!!
I'm interested to know how the bamboo bench tops have held up? Looking at using them for kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. Love your videos, nice to see kiwis doing this - using products we can actually get here!
