Haha well, first of all I sold my H1n a long time ago (which is something I regret doing but anyway). I think that would be a pretty unfair comparison because these mics are so different. The Mic 2 is completely not fit for field recording, it's just a lavaliere mic suitable for talking heads and interviews (just like many other lavs). It won't pick up anything but loud sounds and noises, while the H1n's mics are very sensitive and "hear" every single detail. So without even trying to make this comparison, I will tell you that the H1n would sound better by a ton.

Hi and thanks a lot! In this specific video I tweaked nothing at all so it's all completely raw. But yes, if used in some very quiet conditions, the H2n will likely produce a little noise floor. But all in all, it's an amazing device which I can't stop using in various situations.

I really appreciate your words. This is exactly what I always thought a tech review should look like. And I also hate watching those videos whose titles say it's a new camera test but 80% of the time you see a talking head who's being smart about all sorts of things but it's all mostly completely irrelevant.

Thanks for the comment! No, nothing was turned on or tweaked because when you're using them as sound recorders and record your audio internally (which was my case), you can't really change or control any parameters

Gotta check that but as I said, it's all default so it shouldn't be other than 16 or 24 bit

You plan to use them together? Because if so, I don't think it matters what mode is on on your H2n because the main device in this case is the Roland, and it can only record simple stereo.

@@stuff2check I will indeed use them together. When I plug in the earplugs. The sound is then also recorded via zoom. That creates a lot of noise.

But why? Isn't it easier to plug your Roland straight into your camera? Or you just do audio? - and if so, why do you need both these devices working together? These are two completely different cameras, and it depends what you film and how you want to use them. First of all, it's an action cam. I have a Go 2, and sure it's fun but that's it 😊 The whole editing process is slow and tedious as heck, and the picture quality is not that great in the end. I guess the Go 3 wasn't so big of an upgrade (it's got a screen now but so what 😀). The P3 is a much bulkier device but with x10 times better image quality and mechanical stabilization which beats any digital one. Plus the sound on the P3 is amazing (let alone the possibility of using a wireless lav and so on). But if you're low on budget, get a Pocket 2 as now they are real cheap. Still an amazing device with pretty much the same variety of accessories, but with just a bit worse image quality than the P3.

I thought the 360 camera is hard, even the go version is also hard? for go 3 video quality, yes, it is bad. in term of budget, i do not put any cap, not because I am wealthy 😛 but it is tiring when you bought a camera, but you have to return or sell it because it is not what you want, i returned my dji action 3 a few day after bought it because soft focus issue and worse footage than my 2016 Sony FDR-X3000. you live in Montenegro? great place to visiit? Im planning my summer eurotrip now, thats why im looking for a second camera

Oh you don't know about this infamous workflow of any Insta360 camera? haha well then I recommend checking some vids here on YT. But to just give you an idea, you first need to run each of your vids through the dedicated Insta360 Studio software (where you can choose a camera angle, stabilization type, lens stitch if working with a 360 camera, etc.) and export them as video files (and that takes a ton of time sometimes). And only then you can use these clips and do some post. So you basically need a computer for that, although their mobile app is also really good but it's limited in its functions compared to the PC software. So if you have enough money go with the P3 for sure.
