First time you set oracle home as oracle grid to start listener & later again it caused issues and you set it back to oracle home. With ASM it should not be set to Oracle grid? Can you please clarify that

with this video i successfully converted my single instance 11gR2 to RAC ..... through my environment was on virtual box so to attach virtual disk method is different in that first run running RCONFIG with ONLY option , so if it is successful then execute with YES option
