    Do this and you wont find any problem Make sure your BIOS version is 2.51 or lower. Make sure M.2 size is 2242 before you buy it. Make sure M.2 type is "SATA III" not "PCIe" before you buy it. Convert the M.2 drive to GPT if your laptop using "UEFI Mode" or convert the M.2 drive to MBR if your laptop using "legacy BIOS Mode" . Make sure your new Windows installation file (.iso or .img) is Compatible with your disk type (GPT or MBR). Make sure you buy "Transcend MTS400 Series drives" or "Transcend MTS430 Series drives" or "Transcend MTS420 Series drives" not anything else. After installing the M.2 drive make sure the M.2 drive does not get hot by using any monitoring software, and if so, install a small aluminum heatsink for the M.2 drive.

    In my car when I put the reverse gear, the radio already knows and looks for a camera, so I suppose I do not use the reverse light but the camera still needs power I assume. I need to check because in the manual there's a "reverse video signal+" cable apparently, which do the job. The main issue is I still don't know if I want to get the camera because I'm not sure I'll use it. Do you use it all the time for parking? PS: In Italy we just hit the car behind. 🤣

      I could live without it, but its nice to see if there's anything behind you that you can't see in the mirrors. There's probably a reason all cars since 2018 are required to have them in the us :) Also every now and then my car gains a new scratch or scrape that I didn't do, so I have a feeling a lot of people here also park like that ;)

    • @Txb4g
      @Txb4g 11 місяців тому

      @@eepykami oh wow, I didn't know it was required over there. I remember my driving instructor taught me you need to actually turn and look behind, even mirrors aren't good enough. Since I'm young and have no problems turning back I think I'll stay without as I can probably see more this way. Of course it also depends on the car, the Corsa is quite small. Thanks for the reply BTW.

    • @eepykami
      @eepykami 11 місяців тому

      Honestly this was so long ago that I don't remember what any voltages were, nor do I have that car anymore to check :) That voltage difference makes sense to me, though. The alternator will charge the battery when your car is running so it should be higher when on than when off. I would assume this relay would fix your issue though. That way, you aren't drawing extra power from the reverse bulb circuit that the car isn't expecting, as the relay makes a connection between a 12v power circuit and the camera when you put the car in reverse instead.

    the noises is from the PS1 itself actually. when you leave it on that screen for long enough, that noise triggers (i believe it's with discs it failed to read, instead of taking you to it's system menu, it just leaves you on the screen that you get before it actually boots the game.)

    • @eepykami
      @eepykami Рік тому

      i believe that a modchip will make your console always see any disc that isn't a music disc as a ps1 game. the BIOS will load data from this disc into RAM, looking for what it needs to start executing code, but never finds it and eventually starts overwrtiting other parts of memory.

      in theory, most ps1 consoles don't need the license data to be there, in order for the game to boot. japanese models and the pal psone's check the "Licensed by..." string and/or the 3d logo data, but most other consoles don't care. my console is supposed to be one that doesn't care about that data (spch-1002), although even if in theory it should work, in practice it doesnt and you get that whole thing :)

    • @eepykami
      @eepykami Рік тому

      i guess you bought one of those android radios that are made to fit the same as the stock radio, right? they come with two harnesses usually. an ISO one and a quadlock one. the ISO one is for some astra's and older corsa's I believe, so you'll want the quadlock one. i'm not sure exactly what radio you may have, and with these things there isn't exactly a model number to look up, but i imagine there would be a little electronics box somewhere on the harness? i have a radio like that and mine is translucent orange. that's the canbus decoder, and its job is to translate things from the radio to the rest of the car and vice versa. it's what lets your steering wheel controls work. it also decodes things like the reverse signal, parking brake, switched live, etc. the cable you're looking for should come from that canbus decoder. it should be a pink cable. it may be already wired into the end of the harness that goes to the radio, but you probably could tap into it if you need a reverse signal for something else.

      also if you have a little plug with a orange and red wire on the harness, unplug it. there might be a little label with some chinese writing too. i remember i didn't, and it caused issues with the radio not turning on. that plug decides whether the screen dimming signal and switched live comes from the car, or from the canbus decoder. for the corsa you want that to come from the decoder, as there are no signals that come from the car directly. @@brianmurray6675

    What if I don't want to use a relay? I could just power the camera from the 12 volt outlet in the trunk, then the reverse light will only switch the radio to camera mode. The only problem with this setup is that the camera will be on all the time, I mean whenever the engine is running. Will that be a problem?

    • @louis5555gmail
      @louis5555gmail Рік тому

      Also, I was thinking that a voltage regulator that stabilizes the voltage to 12 volts could be used to keep the camera connected to the reverse light. What do you think? This may be simpler than looking for another power source. I found one on A-m-a-z-0-n for 15 dollars..

    • @eepykami
      @eepykami Рік тому

      In theory that would work, in practice the cameras often have linear voltage regulators that can overheat if left on for too long. It's inside the box where one cable splits into multiple.

    • @eepykami
      @eepykami Рік тому

      That might work but honestly I've never tried it. I would try a small buck-boost converter. Idk if it would draw too much current for the circuit and cause problems with the bulb detection though.
