@@ajkichurants2185 seems like in China wang is very famous. So there are lots of comments on social media dissaproving of him participating in a S2. I've read about already, also in twitter. They don't want a straight actor involving in a bl drama. Awckward! But China is another world. And ther's the issue of producer who haven't got the budget for S2. And the actors being currently in other projects. Don't think they make it till end 25 or in 2026.. Today a re watched on Gagaoolala the scene at Don's , the confession. Better translation and captions..cried a lot...💔😪🙏

@@arielattalli5292 That seriously is a terrible news. I don't understand the fans that dislike actors being involved in Gay dramas or movies. And wow, I'm a bit surprised and disappointed with the budget thing. I feel like they could cash in with some of the merchandise. The series has obviously blown up & the actors have grown huge as well. And aww, I don't have the heart to go back and watch it again. That first watch was already heartbreaking. I mean,after all the bonding and the strong chemistry, they ended up with a heavy heart. Not fair.

I understand it's really frustrating...like how it started and how it ended.

It is indeed very disappointing.... Benjamin really floored me with his performance. The director was somehow joking in an interview that in the second season, there will be more kisses & so, will there be a second season? The possibility is high. He was urging fans to call the production for producing season 2.

I think the director is smart to end S1 on this note. Not every breakup needs to be the end, but can be a new beginning also. And thats what the promise meant between the two. The story is not unique BUT the two actors, direction, screenplay are out of the world. Considering this is Eric's first BL he has really outshined himself. I would say he is the centre of gravity in the entire plot. Kudos 🎉❤

I'm a fan of countless Taiwanese films, but this one has a terrible script and direction. I only watched until the end because I was enchanted by Benjamin Tsang and Andy Chen. As for the trick of delivering a frustrating ending in an attempt to make the audience want continuity, I think it's a cheat. I will never watch another work by this writer, director or producer

I would not hold my breath.Apparently the series did not go over to well on the Mainland the Mainland Chinese Actor (I won't name him) is getting some negative feedback. There are discussions going on about IF they will proceed with a Season 2. I think we may have another "Addicted" happening here.

So, if they're not going to end up together..sometimes, I just wonder what's the point of even creating a fictional couple just to break them in the end. 😀 But yes, a very well produced and acted series this was.

I know the ending right now is so disappointing. But I'm hoping the writers will get their redemption with season 2. But damn! This hurts.

There is just one mistake: The makers dared to tell every detail of the story with The confidence that they will be able to film a second season. You can be sure that the true story unfolds at the very point when this series Camembert to its end

This is Taiwan so it is really rare but the one thing is Eric is an Chinese Actor is what makes me worry what if he gets banned from Chinese Acting industry? Let's hope for the best

‘Stay With Me’, is a 24 episode remake of the Chinese series Addicted. In this series it includes scenes where the lovers are caught in bed by Bai Luo Yin’s father and they have to confess to him that they have become lovers. His father does not object, but when Gu Hai’s father retired General, Gu Wei Ting finds out he beats him and threatens to send them into the military. (He is also the stepfather to Bai Luo Ying). The two of them decide to run off together so that they can stay together but are eventually found by the General’s henchmen. The series ends on a cliff edge when Gu Hai was driving Bai Luo Yin’s car which was involved in a bad accident when the controls and brakes stopped working. Gu Yai was in a coma in hospital. We don’t know whether Gu Yai lives or dies. In the SECOND NOVEL, on which Addicted/Stay With Me was based, Gu Yang (Gu Hai’s cousin, who he calls his brother) visit’s the hospital and admits to Bai Luo Yin that he sabotaged his car trying to kill him not realizing that his cousin would become the victim. He contrived a story blaming Bai Luo Yin for the accident saying that he grabbed the wheel and had video evidence to prove it. If he was found guilty, then Bai Luo Yin would have ended up in jail for many years. Gu Yang agrees to help him escape abroad on the proviso that he never meets up with Gu Hai again. Gu Yang tells Gu Hai that Bai Luo Yin was killed in the accident. Gu Yang arranged a false funeral and grave using his money and influence to bribe officials. Gu Hai becomes very depressed when he realises that his lover is dead and thought that he had killed him in the car accident. Eventually Gu Yai found out from Gu Yang that Bai Lu Yin had lived and had moved abroad but he didn’t know to which Country. Gu Hai began a desperate search for him but failed to find him. He started a new company which He called ‘Hai Yin Technology’ to include his lover’s name, and over the years this became very successful. BaiLuo Yin became a top-ranking military pilot. Ya Ya Jing , one of Gu Hai’s female employees, to which he was close, asked him he could pretend to be her boyfriend so that she could comfort her mother who was soon to die and wanted to see her daughter married before she died. He agreed to do this, and they were seen in public together. 8 years after the accident, Bai Luo Yin unexpectedly bumped into Gu Hai at a party where he was accompanied by his pretend girlfriend YaYa Jing. He became jealous of them because he still loved Gu Hai. The two had a confrontational meeting with each other but later reconciled. Bai Luo Yin arranged through his military contacts for Hai Yin Technology to receive some large military contracts. Bai Luo Yin’s mother, Jiang Yuan persuaded him to go on a blind date with Di Shuang the daughter of her best friend. He was happy to do this to make Gu Hai jealous. She was an employee at Hai Yin Technology and worked for Gu Hai. One day Bai Luo Yin visits his new girlfriend at her office and was seen by Gu Hai who got very jealous. Gu Hai decided to get engaged to Ya Ya Ying and invited Bai Luo Yin to his engagement party to make him jealous. Bai Luo Yin agreed to go but was sent on a dangerous mission by the Air Force during which his plane crashed, but he managed to escape before it exploded. Gu Hai was worried when he didn’t show up to his party and asked his father (wealthy retired military General) Gu Wei Ting to check with his contacts the whereabouts of Bai Luo Yin. He finds out that his plane had crashed. Gu Hai immediately leaves his party and goes to the area where Bai Luo Yin’s plane crashed to look for him. He finds him in a swamp. He contacts his cousin Gu Yang who arranges the rescue of them both. Gu Hai confesses to Bai Luo Yin that he still loves him and that is why he came to rescue him. Bai Luo Yin asks him to break up with his fiancé so that they can be exclusive lovers. He also confesses to his girlfriend Di Shuang that he loves Gu Hai. She is furious because Gu Hai is her boss, and she resigns from Hai Yin Technology in a huff. Gu Hai asked his fake fiancé Ya Ya Jing to tell her mother the truth about their false engagement. To her surprise her mother did not get angry but wished her daughter well and died shortly afterwards. Bai Luo Yin followed Gu Hai home and the two of them showered together and enjoyed penetrative lovemaking with each other. The next morning Bai Luo Yin woke to find Gu Hai cooking breakfast. He went over to him and apologized for leaving him 8 years earlier after the accident. The two agreed to never leave each other again. End of story.

@@otismack I think this story sounds terrible, and way to complicated to make into a series ! Why a separation of 8 years, I don't like storylines like thatI don't understand why the second season of Stay with me is not started yet !

Everyone’s Happy Ending is not the same. Maybe their Happy Ending is finding someone who truly understands them. Like each other. I mean not in a romantic way, but as truly brother’s, or very best friend’s. Sometimes in life you will have these type of people in one’s life to move on and grow up. I am loving this series no matter how it ends. ❤❤❤

@@creamchery547 Well, as much as we hate the sad ending, we cannot ignore the fact that it is a creative choice and therefore, we have to live with it 🤣 As for people judging people ....I guess it mostly stem from bigoted mindsets.

@@ajkichurants2185 I think my problem is that I see every BL and other gay productions as a political act, in the face of the suffering still imposed by society on homosexuals, such as prison, death, prejudice, expulsion from their homes, bullying, etc. I have a utopian vision: BLs should serve as a positive reference for LGBTQ+ youth, something I didn't have in my adolescence and that made me suffer a lot. Regarding poetic license, this can also be an excuse for evil and incompetence.

@@angelo3971 This is quite a fascinating view point. And I agree, BLs should serve as a positive reference. Perhaps, BLs can be the means through which the world becomes more accepting and understanding.
